but anyway, there's sorta this ''war'' going on about console an PC gaming.

:nessfall: i perfer console gaming over PC gameing for some good resons.

1.a key pad is not a controller, it was not ment to play games,we just put games for it any way.

2. lag. something that ruins the game

3.constint need to upgrade your computer. to play CoD: black ops on the computer, i need the NEWEST one, to play it on the 360, i can use one from 2006.

4.hackers. these guys just ruin the game for every one else, thats all i have to say.

5.multiplayer. something that is so damn fun but something you cant do on your computer.

well thats all i have to say, plese no hate, but witch do you perfer, CONCSOLE OR PC? im with :snes:

Console gaming. I have nothing against PC gaming, but console gaming is just better. It feels better when you're playing on a game console. Likeyou said, less lag. Boring just to use the keypad. Much more fun to use different controllers.

Overall, I prefer console gaming. But there's nothing wrong with PC gaming. Just not as fun.

I prefer playing on a console simply because most games that I like to play are console only or are suited for a pad and the console "environment". The exception is UT2004, Diablo II and Dungeon Siege II. If Diablo III is indeed being released for consoles, I'm not sure where I will stand on that issue. Concerning first-person games... I tried to play a few with a pad and I find it really stressful.

I prefer console gaming. In my mind a computer is used for the internet and running applications, that is what it was made for. A gaming console's primary use is for gaming.

1) you can get usb controllers designed for pc gaming problem solved.

2) Lag is just as common on the console online gaming as pc gaming

3) Pretty much agree that the overall cost is dearer but you get what you pay for and it isnt as expensive as everyone makes it out to be.

4) Hackers arent only on pc infact xbox 360 probaly has the highest number of hackers on any gaming system , PS3 also has hackers but less than the 360 in my experiance

5) multiplayer can be played on pc, Thats what started multiplayer gaming

so your reasons are pretty much void and to answer your question i am console gaming oriented although i do love pc gaming aswell.

I love both just as much as each other, but my only problem is that my computer cant play modern games. Not that that bothers me too much, im more into older games so tend you exclusivley play pre 2000 games anyway.

I also prefer fps' on the pc, took me a long time to get into them on consoles again, probably why i really suck at CoD and MoH. Also, rts games are just not made for consoles, you really need a mouse and keyboard for a proper experience.

If developers start including mouse and keyboard controls, which is perfectly possible, then you may have a point about consoles.

Im gonna say pc gaming is better, just because Monkey Island is much better on pc and theres no fallout 2 on consoles. :P

What about real-time strategies like C&C, starcraft and constructor and point n click adventures like Monkey island, maniac mansion and beneath a steel sky? Those genres always play awfully on consoles.

PC gaming.
I do enjoy consoles but the PC just does it for me.

The vast catalogue of games from generations past and present.
The imagination of the mod community.
And the diversity in controllability

Ds Games!

I prefer gaming on my Ps3 for most of the reasons stated above. I like putting in a Ps2 game or Ps3 game and knowing its going to work without needing anything other than a possible firmware upgrade which is quick and free. I've experienced far more lag and hackers on any PC game i I've played than any PS3 game I've played online as well, and I really like my bigger HD tv than my computer monitor. I do enjoy certain first person shooters and most RTS games on the PC however.

1. I generally prefer mouse+keyboard setups, but if you don't PC has the widest range of controller support available. All xbox 360 controllers work as well as the thousands of PC made controllers.

2. Lag is just as apparent on consoles as it is on PCs.

3. If you're spending hundreds of dollars every year on your PC you are doing it wrong. I've spent $450 total on my computer (including the price for the computer itself) over the past 4 years and it has no problem running black ops comfortably.

4. Hacker are also just as bad on consoles as on PC. I actually rarely run into identifiable hackers in online games compared to on xbox 360.

5. Multiplayer is also on PC, don't know where you got the idea it isn't. PC is where multiplayer gaming began really. Sure it doesn't have a completely centralized online system like PS3 or 360 but it's still great.

Generally I prefer PC gaming because of community aspects. Mods, dedicated servers, MMOs, etc.
The community made features really add a whole lot to the game. Have you ever played Oblivion? Try it on PC and you'll see what I mean.

i enjoy gaming on both, but some things u stated are bothering me

1) the keyboard and mouse imo are perfect for playing games on, try playing a good rts on a controller, its not possible, and games are not just put on it just because they can

2) i dont really suffer from lag in my pc games

3) i havent had to upgrade my computer since 2008 and i can still run most new pc games on their highest settings

4) there are hackers on the consoles also

5) there is multiplayer on the pc.....

I personally perfer console gaming due to that's all I really have. I would get more into PC gaming if I had the money to invest within my own computer, but that's not happening any time soon.

Also, I notice people are arguing about the PC gaming has no multiplayer. I believe he is saying about people within the same room as you, like the old days of the SNES, and such.

I prefer PC gaming for First Person Shooters. Also, a lot of my friends play games on lower quality PC's like iMacs. You do not need to keep your pc up to date anymore. Heck a few of my friends just bought new PC's after they had their P4's for nearly 5 years.

A PC with older graphics still looks about on Par with an Xbox and PS3. Also, if you are running a 19" 4:3 monitor that does 1280x1024 you don't have to worry about needed bleeding edge graphics. New cards are a complete and total waste for those resolutions. It is when you get into 16:10 and 16:9 aspect ratio resolutions like 1680x1050 that you need more power especially if you put on AA and AF filters to remove jagged edges and filter textures.

Simply put, don't worry about it unless you absolutely need to have a 22" or 24" monitor for non-gaming things.

I think both are very good depending on the types of games you're playing. Computers are probably better suited to real-time strategies and MMORPG's and other unconventional types of games (Football manager). I did enjoy playing FPS games too such as Unreal Tournament and RTS games. Game consoles pretty much take care of everything else since that's what they are primarily made for.

My personal preference these days is console gaming, however I do intend on getting a gaming PC one of these days so that I can enjoy some of the great games available. The need for that is not as pressing, since I'm not into MMORPG or RTS games, but I want to get the original Fallout games and make an attempt at Diablo (again), so I see PC gaming being something I'll get back into.

I don't agree with the points about PC gaming not being actual gaming. I was playing computer games before video games (remember the old PET computers in school anyone?) and I still consider it to be legitimate gaming. The mouse and keyboard, while different, is as functional as a controller once you learn the layout, and you get lag and hackers on console games as well. It's all down to personal preference.

Console gaming is better if you play single player games and I have never owned a proper gaming PC but from playing on other people's I can say that in terms of multiplayer the PC is far superior it is actually less likely to suffer from lag and the mouse is millions of times more precise than any controller, that's why consoles have aim assist. Hacking is also not a big problem as most hacks/ mods are for fun on PC and don't ruin other's experiences, ie. the paintballing playlist in CoD 4. It is also superior for RPGs as these are usually very complex and only a keyboard can provide the full experience, the same with RTSs. But, in terms of racing games, beat em ups, platformers etc. consoles are the better choice.

I enjoy both. The main reason I like playing some games on the PC rather than the console(besides graphics of course)is just because I CAN. I love being able to play the latest games on super high settings with good fps rates. Its just so cool to me, I don't know why. The best think about the console to me is multiplayer, most of my friends don't have super powered PCs, so the console(mostly Xbox) multiplayer works out better for that.
