I know that some of the games were released as other numbers in the series, so it got kind of mixed up in the US. I want to know What games were released as what number in each country, and what console they were released on. I'm asking this because soon, I'm going to start trying to collect and play all of the US versions in the correct order. |

Jonny, if you do this, can you keep a diary for me? I wanna know how many hours it takes you to go through the entire franchise. ;D |

That would depend greatly on if you want to play through just the story line with no side quests, or if you want to find everything the game has to offer. For instance in Final Fantasy X I could've actually finished the game's main story line in 30 hours. But I'm doing side quests and other miscellaneous things and am at 85 hours and still not close to being done. |

Let's not forget about Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (on Wiiware) who is a direct sequel to Final Fantasy II on SNES. Edited by Stephleref, Dec 7 2010, 01:54 PM.

A long time, I'm sure. First I want to get them into my possession, then I'll play them when I'm not busy with other games. I certainly don't plan to play them all back to back, that'd be...lifelessness. |

Theres a group of people over at somethingawful.com who are playing each major Zelda game in turn, allocating themselves a year to do so. Be interesting to see how this pans out. |

So, let me just get this straight. The US versions go like this... Final Fantasy I on the NES Final Fantasy II and III on the SNES Final Fantasy IV, V, and IV on the GBA. Then the rest are pretty much all released on Playstation 1, 2 and 3. |

Final Fantasy II and III on the SNES are actually Final Fantasy IV and VI in terms of true chronological release. The North American release of FF II is only on PS1 and FF III is only on DS. In short.... FF I NES FF II PS1 (origins) FF III DS FF IV PS1 or SNES (wrongly ordered as II) FF V PS1 FF VI PS1 or SNES (wrongly ordered as III) FF VII-IX PS1 FF X-XII PS2 FF XIII PS3 |
