Just seen it on 1up when I woke up today. I like Tales games, I still have to buy Tales of Vesperia for the Xbox 360 so I can beat it. It was just a good game. |

I hated Vesperia when I first played it, mainly due to other people at my place watching and constantly making snarky comments. However, I am replaying it again and am really enjoying it. I also picked up Tales of Graces F, but haven't had a chance to play it yet. I've heard that that one is a good one, too. I do think Namco needs to slow it down though, since they've been flirting with the whole bankruptcy issues@_@ |

Oooo pretty shiny thing. To be honest with you I have never been a big figuring fan but I do love art books. After Ni No Kuni my desition to get this will heavily be base off of if I need to buy it from the Namco store. Hopeful they just let Amazon take care of it like everyone else. |

I exchanged my reg edition preorder at GameStop today for the ce. Had to throw down 20 extra coin but can hardly wait. 25 dollar preorder but IMO worth it.

Just because I have a different opinion you guys call me a "troll". Real mature. And Crazykrafft, cursing is against the forum terms of service, so don't do that again. The guy at the local game store recommended Tales of Vesperia for $9.99 used to me because he said it was like Skyrim. When I got it home it's only like Skyrim if Skyrim had bad cartoony graphics. I went back and got a refund. If this game was good why did I get it in the $10 bin? |

Alright, maybe it wasn't fair to call you a troll. But usually telling someone that a game that came out in 2008 (ToV) ripped off a game released in 2011 (Skyrim) and them being completely serious about it usually means that person is trolling. Maybe it was in the $10 bin because you are at a local store, gamestop sells it for $40 used. |

It depends on where you pre-ordered--I'm sure with a few phone calls they would no problem. However, it might be worth your while to go ahead and snag the $100--it'll probably double in value. Just look at the ni no kuni wizard edition. |

Hold it! Let me clear something up for everyone, there are going to be 3 editions in the US. 1) ToX Collectors's Edition. The $100 version with figurine. 2) ToX "Limited" Edition. The $60 version. 3) ToX vanilla. In regards to the contents: “The costumes, character profile booklet and music cd are exclusive to the Limited Edition, while the Milla Maxwell figure, art book and music selection CD are exclusive to the Collector’s Edition.” Read more at http://www.siliconera.com/2013/05/30/tales-of-xillia-limited-edition-announced-for-u-s/#c9R3aPrbzLwehwPL.99 Going for the CE myself.... Yeah, if anyone has the $100 CE I recommend holding on to it. I'm just not a big fan of statues of people (idk, it's strange haha), so I prefer the downsized $60 LE  once the LE sells out, the vanilla version will be available. It is a nice treat to get a limited first printing for the same price Sorry to confuse anyone! |

So far these are my impressions. I've already completed this game when it was originally released in Japan, but time has passed since then and I find that I've taken a more critical stance. For a Tales game, this clearly has the highest budget. It's cool that you can spin the camera around, and that the skits are voice acted, and that the character models just look better. These improvements aside, it's STILL a Tales game; the music is really generic, the environments (aside from the first one that probably blew everyone away) are really bland, and the story is filled with pseudo-Tales science that always annoys me. With this game in particular, I find that clipping is an issue. It's not terrible, but it's noticeable. Where I really take issue with this release is the voice acting. Perhaps it's because in my first playthrough I became accustomed to the Japanese voice actors, but I feel that the new voices don't suit the characters at all. For a 15 year old boy, Jude's voice is eerily deep. Let's keep i mind that both Lloyd Irving and Luke fon Fabre are older than Jude, with voices several octaves up. I know I'm being really nitpicky, but I'm sick of Namco Bandai russtling through their drawer of "unused" Funimation voice actors in order to find a semi suitable voice for a Tales protagonist. But now for the good parts. The combat is phenomenal. There's not much to say other than that. The link arts work fluidly, and the ability to link characters to one another for chain attacks is awesome. I also really like the sphere grid type system for leveling.
