We're reaching the end of the Year, and i've been more than happy with this year. We had tons of great releases, a small Nintendo Comeback, PS Move, Kinect, the 3DS announcement and tons more. I just think this was overall a really solid year, and i would really like to know what where some of your favourite Games. My Top 5 Games of 2010 5. Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Sky (NDS) I was pretty hyped for this game, because of its awesome Customization, Overworld, tons of Quest, all the Monsters and more. At the beginning, it wasn't as good as i expected it to be, but it was still awesome. I mainly didn't like the slow start, but later it just gets amazing. There's a huge Overworld, and hundreds of different Monsters. I loved the fresh colors, the funny dialogues, the great character designs by Akira Toriyama. Sadly, i didn't finish the Game because i recently started to hang out a lot, so i'm always outside and have no time for the game. But i may go back to it someday. Minecraft (FREE) (PC/Mac) First of all, i want you to know that i played only the FREE Version of the Game. I played it for the first time Yesterday, and i was immediately amazed. I built a castle. Then i built an extremely high tower with a secret passage under it, that leads far away from it. Then i built a Villa made out of gold with a bedroom, a secret passage, a small garden, and a swimming pool. Then i built another castle, with a huge room inside and a huge window that has an excellent panorama. Then i build a small house, with 7 secret passages. It looks like a small stupid house, but it's HUGE inside. I'm not trying to tell you about the things i built, but about the awesomeness of this game. I did this all in less than a day, because i am extremely sick at home and i'm bored, and this game is enourmously fun. I'm pretty shure the complete version of the game is awesome. 3. Call of Duty: Black Ops (Wii) This is a really good game, online. i haven't really played the Single Player Campaign, so can't really talk about that. It looks like this is the best balanced CoD game, ever. The only gun that seems slightly overpowered, is the AK-74u, if you attach it a grip and rapid fire its GOD. There are tons of weapons, and a nice diversity of attachments, such as shotguns, silencers, advanced sights, and such kind of stuff. The maps are really diverse from each other, some are mostly fought on Long Range, some are mostly based on Close Quarter Battles. My favourite map so far is Summit, mainly because i really like the snow, and it's overall a well crafted map. I'm level 46 as of now, and my favourite gun is the spectre with ACOG Sight. FC: 0062-4508-3206 2. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii) I started really disliking this game, because i got often frustrated by the controls, while you where upside down and such stuff. I started putting more effort into it, and i ended really liking the game. I had never played the first Super Mario Galaxy, but i really like the Strong Colors and the Classic Remixed Soundtrack they made for it. Yoshi was also really nice to use, especially with that Sprinting Red Yoshi. I was just so happy in the end getting the final Star from Bowser, it was extremely satisfying. I still haven't got all the Stars, and i haven't even got one Secret Star, so i hope i'll find some time to get back to it. This was the first and only game i ever Pre-Ordered. When it came to my house, i popped it in, and did nothing else until the sun started going down. It just so damn well balanced in between the three races: Zerg, Protoss and Terran. I used them all, but i just loved Zerg Rushing. My favourite part of this game was 4vs4 online, and just do thousands of Zerglings. And when everyone goes to attack, i make everthing collapse. It's just Awesome. This is definitely my favourite game of the year. Honorable Mentions: Plants Vs. Zombies (iPod Touch) I Haven't Played (but i would like to): Donkey Kong Returns (Wii) Minecraft Alpha (PC/Mac) World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (PC/Mac) Goldeneye 007 (Wii) Sin and Punishment 2 (Wii) Post your favourite Games of this Year! Your list seems pretty solid, but you should definitely try and play Donkey Kong Country Returns. It is a tough one, Wii motes will be thrown, but it is satisfying. Although my memories are a bit faded from the golden ages of gaming where platforming was supreme, I get the same feeling from playing this game and finishing a tough level as i did when playing the old school platformers. Sin and Punishment 2 is also on my list of games to play, i am regretting missing the opportunity when it first came out, it seems fast paced and fun. |

That's a somewhat difficult one for me, but if i had to narrow it down to 5... 1. Mass Effect 2 2. Starcraft II 3. Heavy Rain 4. Yakuza 3 5. Red Dead Redemption Red Steel 2 and FFXIII almost make the list but not quite! |

I have a hard time answering this. I seem to like most games as I'm playing them and they rank in my top five. Then, down the road, new games become my new top five. This year has been funny to me, some games I looked forward to all year were just ok, while some I bought just because I wanted to try out a random game turned out to be awesome.. Wish I could give you a top game(s), but I just can't point to a small number and say those are my top when I loved so many games that were new to me during this year. |

It can be ANY kind of Video Game. I also think some people misunderstood, you don't need to do a top 5, i just did it for myself. You should mainly just talk about your favourite games of this year.

My list is as follows: God of War III Etrian Odyssey III Mafia II Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Alan Wake Transformers: War for Cybertron Deathsmiles Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Dragon Quest IX Call of Duty: Black Ops Vanquish Where these rank is yet to be determined; I've played so many games this year and it's hard to limit my selection to just a few titles, especially with the last quarter of the year being especially strong for new releases. I hope 2011 will be just as good, so I had better start saving up

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - My pick for game of the Year! For me Super Mario Galaxy was one of the best platformers to come out in years and part 2 only improved on the first game and added Yoshi!!!!!! Some of my other favorites from 2010........ I still have to get around to playing Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, God of War 3 and the list goes on, have them already they are just waiting to be played. I might as well do my most anticipated list for next year as well. 1. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 2. Uncharted 3 3. I still have yet to sit down and try and formulate my top list of games for 2010, but I still have a few games I have yet to play and need to play a bit more of others before I make my list so I estimate my list will be done likely by the end of january. This is going to be really hard to piece together this years list... |

Agree. Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 3 and ES5. Heck maybe GoW3 and LA Noir will make a debut. But... I am really, really interested in what happens with Max Payne 3!!!!! 2010 was great. 2011 will be epic. |
