Most of the time I put my games back in their cases when I'm finished playing but didn't this last time. It was probably left out for a month and then I noticed spots covered the back of the disc. I tried cleaning it but the spots won't come off and disc will not play. Any of you experienced this and found a good way of cleaning it off? Thanks |

I've found that windex seems to work really well for this, and has worked for me in the past almost 100% of the time unless there were deep scratches. I ehar it's not the best method and too much is no good, but I've never had a problem. |

One time this happened to one of my discs...it turned out to be hair spray. Some glass cleaner got it right off. |

Worst case scenario if you have to: resurface it. Removes a tiny layer off the disc and makes it look nearly flawless if it doesnt have deep scratches. |

Nope.....only thing I can think of is we might have sprayed some air freshener in that room and landed on the disc or something. I never had a problem cleaning a disc like this before but ill make sure I won't leave any out again. That stuff will just not come off! I guess I'll have to pick up another copy of Fable 3 when the price drops. I never got to play it myself but atleast my wife finished it.....so it doesn't feel like a total waste. Thanks anyway for the suggestions everyone. |

This happened to me once when I left a disc out, which is not something I often do, and I ended up getting deodorant spray on it. The stuff was caustic to the disc surface and it resulted in some nasty spots that prevented the game from working. I was unable to use glass cleaner or Windex to remove it, so I bit the bullet and took it to a local shop that repairs discs. They were able to use a resurfacing machine to scale and polish out the spots and it only set me back $10, which is better than having to replace the entire game. |

Like you all suggested, I will make a few calls and find a place to get the disc resurfaced. Thanks again everyone. |

Spit on it, put some tape on it, and get back in the game! |
