I'm getting a few games but they wont be here for Christmas, and I'm just having a small dinner with my dad and grandma. Not that I'm not looking forward to it, just not real excited like I would be if I was a kid.

As a kid, I was always super excited and I would be counting down the days, never wanting this awesome time of year to end. As an adult, the holidays tend to creep up on me and I sometimes find the grind of buying gifts, spending money I don't always have and the social obligations to be tiring. That's not exactly a complaint, mind you, but I don't feel the magic now as much as I did as a child. That being said, I still love this time of year. I get to see my friends, enjoy some time off from work and just be lazy and take some "me" time that I don't often get. I'm also hosting a cocktail party at my house and attending a few that others are throwing, so this will definitely be a fun holiday

Getting older hasn't really affected me (yet), and I actually enjoyed buying my brother a few presents (my parents wouldn't let me buy them any... wtf?). I think the biggest change is having to get out with all of the idiots: people are such downers! Btw, I've said this before, but my Secret Santa present is EATING MY SOUL LIKE A BLACK HOLE. I NEED to open it! But... I'm waiting until tomorrow, when I go to my grandma's house. Happy holidays, everyone!

I agree with you completely though, Matt. The excitement does seem to go down every year a LITTLE bit as you get less and less presents and seem to care less and less. Though, I am still pumped for this year; it is going to be fantastic!
