Cowboy Bebop (times infinity and forever. My favorite series and the movie isn't bad either)
Full Metal Panic! (Didn't care for Fufumufu or whatever the hell it was called)
Tokyo Godfathers
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
My Neighbors the Yamadas
Vampire Hunter D
Akira
Ninja Scroll

The first two are series, but the others are movies. I'm not a big anime fan, but I have enjoyed the ones I listed:D

No problem. I don't know how old you are, but some of those are rather mature, just to let you know.

If you haven't seen Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke you owe it to yourself. Actually just watch all the Hayao Miyazaki Studio Ghibli films.

Bear in mind I'm very much an old school anime fan, so here is a brain dump of loads of movies that I'd recommend seeing:

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Macross: Do You Remember Love
Ghost in the Shell 1 and 2
Patlabor 1 and 2
Wicked City
Fist of the North Star (1986)
Megazone 23 Part 1 and 2
Perfect Blue
Wings Of Honneamise

There's just a few.
''You fire me and I will make more noise than two skeletons making love in a tin coffin brother.''

Cold Iron (R.O.T.O.R, 1987)

Definitely any of the Studio Ghibli films for starters.
Grave of the Fireflies is very sad and very good.
I've also heard extremely good things about Howl's Moving Castle, Castle in the Sky, and Spirited Away.

Fist of the North Star is great too
I hear Patlabor is really good too
Also, you should watch Cowboy Beebop.

First of all, Akira is a must watch, start with this!

Vampire Hunter D

Berserk

Ruroni Kenshin/samurai X is one of the best i've seen in recent years.

Urotsukidoji if you want something far out and quite perverse.

The Guyver, the original 12 episodes, not the remake crap they came out with.

I really like the streetfighter II animated movie too, ryu and fei longs fight is just awesome. The English dub has some of the best quotes i've ever heard.

Rurouni Kenshin is probably my favorite, but I suggest watching the OVAs. Amazing animation and great story, it'll help make more sense of the anime. But also, you may not understand some things in the OVA if you haven't seen the anime.

You can't go wrong with Akira, the first (and for me the best) Anime move I ever saw.

A few of the Studio Ghibli highlights are Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Spirited Away, although they're all great.

Well considering you like the Dragon Ball series, there are tons of movie features for that, though you've probably seen most of them if you are a fan of the series. I have seen all of the DBZ and DBGT movies as well as a bunch of the original DB movies and I must say they are good, but mediocre compared to the overall shows in my opinion, excluding the one movie for DBGT which is definitely worth a watch (if you've seen all of the episodes) as it finishes up the series.

Other than that, there is also the Pokemon movies (if you have seen the show) which are always very well made (much better than the DB/DBZ/DBGT movies in my opinion) and last, but certainly not least there is Spirited Away which is a must see for any fans of anime films.

Thanks a lot for all the recommendations guys! I'll definitely be check these out. I checked out the Detective Conan films already and they are awesome, still need to see a couple more. Next on my list is going to be Akira, seeing how it's praised.
