That cabinet is looking sweet man!

I just finished getting everything working on my arcade project last night. I have a Capcom / Romstar 1942 1 player machine. I made a custom 2 player 6 button control panel for it and replaced the 19" monitor with a 21" because the neck board needs work on the 19". I am turning this into a MAME cabinet so I built a PC about 4 weeks or so ago for the cabinet as well. everything is installed and working great but now I cant descide if I should paint the cabinet or not.

I never hurt anything in the conversion keeping the original control panel and other parts so it could be restored back into 1942. The cabinet is one of the wood grain style cabinets that's in really good shape for the age to be all original.

Should I paint it? or keep it the original woodgrain?

here are some pics of my cabinet I have new t-molding ordered and I still need a new piece of plexiglass. the bottom part of the cabinet is going to be covered with the same black stuff like my control panel.

Here is the control panel I made to replace the original 1 player 2 button setup.

Here is the wood grain I was talking about in my last post.

Let me know what you guys think if I should remove the wood grain and repaint it or just finish doing the black and leave the wood grain alone.

Welcome To Warp Zone!

I think the wood grain looks classy. If you just got a new marquee, that thing would look pretty sweet.
