There are plenty of techniques on-line for removing stickers and sticker residue from plastic game and movie cases, but I was wondering if anyone had any easy techniques for safely removing stickers from the paper inserts behind the clear plastic. I have several video games and several DVDs that actually have stickers on the paper (courtesy of GameStop and Wonder Book respectively). The paper is much more delicate than the clear plastic, so I was wondering if using finger nail polish would be more effective than simply gingerly peeling the sticker away with my fingers. |

I've had to deal with this when gamestop still put them under ds game plastic covers and right onto the paper. My only advice is take it really slow and use your nail to push up a little bit at a time, making sure to get the glue. |

I am not sure about the nail polish method because I have never tried it before. I recommend getting a blow dryer, set it to hot, and blow dry the sticker until the glue drys up. It peels right off if this has been done right. This technique has worked for me several times with my games. |

I agree with -Yung_Gandhi- that a blow/hair dryer is the best for paper. |

I use lighter fluid in cases where there is "sticker gunk" because it is able to break down the residue without damaging the paper. This is also useful for getting stains and marker off various surfaces, including cartridges. Nail polish remover could work as well, but it can be caustic and react badly, potentially causing discoloration or buckling of the paper. |
