The Japanese launch line-up for the 3DS has been, with 8 titles available when the console releases. These are:

* Battle of the Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, 5040 Yen
* Nintendogs + Cats, 4800 Yen
* Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles, 5980 Yen
* Puzzle Bobble 3D, 4980 Yen
* Ridge Racer 3D, 6090 Yen
* Samurai Warriors Chronicle, 6090 Yen
* Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, 4800 Yen
* Winning Eleven Soccer 3D, 5800 Yen

I'm most interested in Ridge Racer 3D, Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles and SSFIV 3D.

EDIT:
The console has also been confirmed to have 3-5 hours of battery life when playing 3DS and 5-8 when playing DS. Not great.

For me it will be street fighter and professor layton from this list if it's the same over here in the US. I want to find out more about puzzle bobble and samurai warriors first, and the rest don't really interest me.

I am disappointed that there is no Zelda: OoT for launch...my suspicions are that the same fate will happen with the US launch...

While I think the US titles will be different, being that we always get layton games much later and still don't even have the fourth one, I don't think it's going to be a ton more games. I'm thinking nintendogs, street fighter, maybe a madden, ridge racer, dead or alive and then the rest I'm not too sure about, we will have to wait and see.

I'm still holding out hope that Mario Kart 3D can potentially be a lauch title in North America. We haven't seen much for it so I'm not sure if we will see it at launch. Sad face...

If the US launch library looks anything like this it will have been Nintendo's weakest launch of a new system, possibly ever.

I appreciate everything Nintnedogs+Cats will do for mass appeal, but for that to be Nintendo's first party headliner just doesn't get me excited.

I'm really disappointed, though I'll still probably get the system at launch just for the enjoyment of camping out for it and all.

The American launch titles ,most likely, will be different. Nintendo said they want their AAA titles to be spread out so that there is no drought like with the wii and ds (http://nintendo3dsblog.com/its-important-that-you-be-able-to-supply-software-with-no-pause-says-satoru-iwata). So if the American launch is one month after there could easily be a AAA title on launch. You also must amount for the fact that American interest differs alot form the Japanese interests, so it is particle that there could be slightly different launch titles in the Americas and U.K.

Yes this is true. They are worried about an initial burst of sales at launch time and then have a weak rest of the year with maybe a few good games for the holiday season. Let's not forget, there are a handful of games confirmed to be coming out less than a month after the launch, so just because they aren't coming out on the same day doesn't mean you'll be waiting forever.

I guess Im the only one excited for Ridge Racer 3D, I can't wait to play that and would actually call it my most anticipated Japan launch 3DS game.

Like Pete, I was surprised not to see OoT on the list. I can't wait to play OoT on the 3DS. OoT is one of my favorite games ever. [linkspin]

It's coming out "spring 2011" so it may be a launch game for us, and if not, then very close to it, in that "launch window" as they like to call it. Too many good launch games would kill my wallet, cut into my ds game completing, and make me have to decide what to play next. I'm probably going to get only one game with the 3ds and then wait for sales/used games/price drops until I get more. More likely sales and used, not so much the price drop part.

I am thinking that Nintendo might do a rerelease of an older game because of the fact that Nintendo has always released older games again with major handheld releases.

Darn you 3DS, your awesomeness will make me helpless and broke, but you screen light will keep me warm at night when I get evicted for not paying rent on time. Then again I could just not buy the 3DS and get a better Job.....Nah

http://nintendo3dsblog.com/16-nintendo-3ds-games-to-be-released-in-japan-during-march-and-not-all-of-them-suck

There's a new list of games coming out in March in Japan, so not right at release day, but very soon after, making them practically launch games as well.

I'm sure now that i'm not picking it up on the launch date. Going to wait for atleast Zelda. None of those launch titles are "must buys" for me and i'd rather wait till they get atleast a little cheaper.

Did you plan on getting a Japanese 3ds? The American launch window of games is a bit different, and I'm pretty sure that when Zelda comes out it wouldn't have been long enough of any of the games to have been given a price drop, especially not from a brand new system.
