Hey guys! I was wondering, what's a good handheld console to collect for? I'm leaning a bit towards the Neo-Geo Pocket Color, but still not exactly sure what to do. Basically it's like this, I want to collect for GameBoy Advance, but the Neo-Geo also seems like a very interesting system with a great selection of games! So I'm very mixed up with all this and want to know of any good handhelds out there, and out of these two I mentioned, which I should collect.

If you can help would be very apprieciated! ^_^

And why is the ds excluded? I hope it's because you already collect for the ds.

I'd rather collect for the GBA. To me its games are better. Good Neo Geo Pocket games would probably be harder to come by, but it has that obscurity factor going for it.

What kind of games are you looking for? The problem, or perhaps great feature, of the GBA is that the library is huge. It really is, probably some where around 1000 games if I can remember correctly. There are a lot to choose from.

The Game Gear isn't too bad, but it's not really solid in the killer app department. There aren't a ton of great games for it but it's still a fun system to collect for. Getting boxed games for the system is really tough to do now.

Well a few months after the post, I went for the GBA. Just have to mod it to get an LCD screen, but it works great! :)

GBA is great, I have four of the systems, one for each member of the family. The games are plentiful and easy to find. Gamestop is now selling them really cheap. Plus this is backwards compatible to play the Gameboy and Gameboy Color games.

I want to get a PSP, but I got a DS and I am enjoying that right now.

I consider people with Nokia N-Gage collections scholars and saints.

GBA is great and more affordable with a good selection of games.

Ds Games!

Just a tip if your still thinking about gba, coming this April, gamestop will stop accepting trade ins on gba games and will look to clear out their stock, possibly meaning some great sales. i guess this applies to everyone that wants some gba games.

The Gamestops where I am have all of their GBA games thrown in shoe boxes to sell. The are only keeping the real expensive ones in cases.
