Is anyone buying Pokemon black/white in march?; With the recent announcement of the Nintendo 3DS will any gamers still be buying pokemon black/white in march? Seeing as how

The Nintendo 3DS Collector Posts: 513 Group: Members Member #3,110 Joined: Dec 9, 2010	Okay so i don't know if anyone on the forums has brought this up yet but with the recent announcement of the Nintendo 3DS will any gamers still be picking up a copy of Pokemon black/White version in march? Seeing as how alot of gamers wallets will be thin after purchasing the Nintendo 3DS ($249.99 plus sale taxs) I for one will be skipping the Nintendo 3DS launch.In order to buy Pokemon White version and okamiden.I will of course pick up a Nintendo 3DS but i'll do it much later onces more games on that system are available.

My first Pokemon game was Emerald, and I loved it. A lot. When Diamond and Pearl were coming out, I tried to convince myself to wait for the third one to come out, but I gave in and got Pearl, which I eventually beat. When Platinum finally came around to coming out, I got it and tried to play through it. I enjoyed the slight changes there were, but it just wasn't enough to make me want to play through the game. The main reason I was looking forward to Platinum was the Torn Dimension, and I didn't even get to that point in the game because I felt like I was playing the same game that I had already beaten a couple of years before, but with a few minor changes. I was never motivated to beat it, and I eventually sold it. I'm pretty sure that this will happen again if I get Black or White and then get the third one, and I know that the third one will have several upgrades from Black and White, as Platinum did to Diamond and Pearl. So I'm just going to wait for two or so years.

Ds Games! Posts: 3,129 Group: Moderator Member #511 Joined: Apr 6, 2009	I'm not a big pokemon fan, and a lot of the newer ones don't interest me, however I am interested in all the changes they've made to the core of the game itself. That part has me interested in the game, and the fact that I know nothing about almost all of the pokemon, it would be like a brand new experience like the first time I played Pokemon Red 100 years ago. I'm on the fence about it, but if there's some crazy sale or something I may pick one of them up, and of course that's not stopping me from getting my 3ds P.S. I suggest a Mod move this to the ds section as it would be likely to get more attention there, as posts here get moved down the line very quickly in general gaming. I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the new Pokemon's character designs (especially the the starter Pokemon), though I've been saying that since the 3rd Generation, haha. The fact that the two games are actually different could make things interesting, and I'm sure it'll drive up sales, with people wanting to play both versions (instead of just trading version-specific Pokemon over to their version). Even with the 3DS coming out just a few weeks after their launch, I'll most likely pick them up when they become available in my area (the Tuesday after their Sunday launch - darn Wal-Mart....).

While white will have the same Environmental theme as the older games in its cities. Getting black for a change in scenery.

I'm gonna be broke. D: I think I'm gonna get Pokemon White version, I was gonna get black (because I thought the black legendary looked cooler) but I saw the boxes and apparently the black ones in Pokemon White? God it's confusing, and I haven't been keeping up with ANY news for this game so pretty much all the Pokemon are gonna seem new to me when I get it, which will be pretty good. But until than I'm gonna say "I'm getting the Pokemon with the black legendary" and people will automatically think racism. D: Why'd you do this Nintendo? Or I could just wait for the special "Gray" version.

If your interested, siliconera is having a diary series where every so often they talk about their progress in the game, and things they've noticed that have changed and things they like. For instance, there are certain people that become capable of healing your pokemon after you beat them in a battle, you have more than one rival, the way locations change with the seasons, experience is spread out differently now when you win a battle, and mainly the way you have access to a lot of the gear and some locations such as the breeding center, I forget what it's called, early on in the game, rather than having to play through 1/2 the game to really get to the meat of it.

Wait,wait,wait so depending on the season in real life.That will reflect on the pokemon game? That's awesome! I don't know too much about pokemon black and white.I've been trying to keep away from any information on the storyline or what kind of pokemon are in the games.
