As somewhat of a recovery from yesterday's Canada fiasco (update: I got my passport photo taken today and I'm submiting the paperwork tomorrow) I thought I'd go to a game store in a nearby city that I hadn't been to yet. The store is called JA Games. I thought it would be just another run-of-the-mill retro shop, but I was wrong.

STORE APPEARENCE: The store was pretty clean and orderly. Their game room was in a bit of dissaray, but they were re-organizing stuff at the time. Their wall of cords and controllers is well organized (no controller squids here)!

SELECTION: Very broad. They had Arcadia 2001 games! Sealed Kolibri for the 32X! Dreamcast keyboards! Fairchild Channel F! Pretty much anything! But there was one thing that caught my eye and almost made me have a heart attack when I saw it. A Virtual Boy. For 3 years, I have been looking for one of those. The feeling of putting the headpiece over my face for the first time brought a tear to my eye.

PRICING: The prices for some of their stuff ranges from fairly decent to DAAAAAAAAAMN! That sealed Kolibri? 75 bucks. The VB that I need very badly? 70 bucks. (Granted, it's not the worst price I've seen on a VB, but still). Still, pretty reasonable prices.

FINAL VERDICT: While there prices may be high at times, JA Games is a store you can't afford to pass up. I ended up leaving with a SNES AC adapter and a copy of Plok for the SNES and spent about 20 bucks. By the way, if any of you try to buy that Virtual Boy, to quote Duke Nukem, I'll rip your head off and shit down your neck.
