The Kinect, Move and of course Wii motion plus have been out for a while now. They all offer and enhanced experience to game playing that no one would have ever thought of 10 years ago. Yet, are they the future of gaming that people want? Will the be successful beyond the initial interest. I know that I personally haven't really bought into the new technology and probably won't in the foreseeable future. The Kinect does have 2 titles that could be interesting in Children of Eden and Project Draco but I don't know if I can justify getting the package just for 2 games. Throw in a small living space and it's not going to work out well. The Move feels like the Wii controller just a little too much for me to check that out as well. I think there is some potential for something great, but it seems as though most companies are content on making something basic because the general public will pick it up. Will there be more in the future for gamers? If not, then this will fail in the future as a general consumer won't be around long after the purchase the product at first. |
