I am an experienced game collector. i have all sega,sony,atari,Microsoft, and nintendo game consoles and i'm looking for some thing new. I couldn't decide the SNK neogeo AES, the SNK neogeo CD,or the panasonic 3DO. PLease help me decide by listing the pros and cons of each. Thanks, Bruce |

I suggest you get one of the Neo Geo since the 3DO does not have that many third party titles unless you can find it for cheap sure go for it. But be prepared to pay 100-200 dollars if your interested in the Neo Geo AES. As for the Neo Geo CD those should be reasonably cheap depending if it comes with a few games of not Happy Collecting

Neo Geo CD would probably be your best bet for cheapest, quality games. It did have long load times and does break frequently which are it's 2 downfalls. 3DO lacked quality games. There are still some gems on it (like any console) but I wouldn't go into the 3DO and expect more than 10ish games that you most likely are interested in. You could also go the Neo Geo AES route and pick up the giant cartridges but as mentioned above, they will run a lot of money. To my knowledge, the Japanese cartridges will also work with an american AES and run much cheaper, which could be an alternative. I would personally go for Neo Geo CD for cheapness. |
