So guys Killzone 3 is finally here, and Im curious to what you think. Personally I'm really enjoyng it. The story was pretty good, although the ending wasn;t the best. The graphics are also jaw dropping. Online very well done as well, and everything seems balanced. |

KZ2 is my favorite online game this gen and I like KZ3 but they took out some key elements that i liked from KZ2 Customization, you could make any match in KZ2, no rockets allowed, rockets only, pistol only, melee only, only allow certain classes, only play certain gametypes etc. now you get stuck with whatever you get thrown into. The spawn grenades from KZ2 were no doubt an issue as they were always camped but i thought the simple solution was to simply take away the red billowing smoke from the spawn grenade, instead they made tactical spawn points to capture....all a team needs to do is start off the match as tactitions, rush to the spawn points, capture them and spawn trap the hell out of them in their base. after that they have no chance. also not a big fan of the 1 hit melee, in KZ2 it was a 2 hit kill (as i believe it should be) now you have people cloaking in corners waiting for someone to walk by to melee them. and on the issue of cloaking the marksman class (sniper class) should not have the sta-52 assault rifle.... all that being said i do enjoy the game lol just miss the reasons why i played KZ in the first place. i will have much better impressions after my gaming marathon this weekend lol |

I'll second Draven26's complaints with KZ3 and add a few of my own. There's no denying I have a lot of fun playing but it just feels like every other FPS out there now. I jumped on KZ2 the day it was released so I became pretty used to the now "sluggish" control scheme. Cut to two years later and I now find myself trying adjust to the newer game's faster pace. It's not a game breaker but is a little consistency too much to ask? That said, a day hasn't gone by where I haven't popped the disc in for atleast a couple hours a night. |

I'm curious to go back and revisit the older Killzone games before I give this a try (I've never played any of them) in order to A) get a better feel for the story and the world and B) buy me some time for a KZ3 price drop hopefully Do you guys think it's worth grabbing a copy of the original on PS2 and playing that first, or just start with the second one? |

I liked it a lot more than KZ2. Visuals in KZ2 were so drab and depressing, and the story was so depressing. It was like "Ok were going here, and were probably getting killed. Now we go here where the odds are even higher well get killed." It felt like they could never be happy. I loved it. |

Killzone 3 Multiplayer is going digital on the psn. Basically, you have free access to a certain point in the leveling system, and then you can either stay at that max point or pay $15 and unlock the entirety. This goes live next week and should be a resurgence to the game's online community. Friend me on PSN if you're interested in playing together - PSN: Slixshot |
