I'm not Catholic, but I think Lent is a healthy practice so I usually try to give something up. Had forgotten about it this year until now though... hm... I might give up buying non-necessities to teach myself to show a touch more restraint with my moneys. :coin:
You don't have to be catholic, a few denominations of christians practice giving thing up for lent.

Keel, most people go to church on sundays and your allowed to indulge in whatever it is you give up for lent on a sunday.

Eh I have never given anything up for lent. Not Just because My denomination Doesn't really do lent but also because I am overly indecisive rendering me incapable of making a decision like that and actually sticking to it.
Though I have thought about giving up something for lent just to try it out... But like all of my new years resolutions I will fail to actually give up anything for more than 3 days.

Not Catholic, but honestly giving up Video Games would be a huge sacrifice and if I was making the honest choice it would have to be that.

It would be a horrible idea for me though. Usually, I could subsitute video games for something more "productive", but I have been in a "I can't wait until school is over and I am completely over school" mode and it would not lead to positive things. I already go to the gym 3-5 times a week and I would probably just end up reading non school related books, pick up some show to watch, watch more sports, and catch up on some great movies I missed out on.

The sky shines gold,not blue.
