I remember I preordered the collector's edition of Mass Effect 2 and when the gamestop employee handed me the game I asked for a different copy because the copy she gave me had some slight damage. She was like ok... Another time was when I specifically asked for a black label for a game and the guy said, "Ummm does it really matter?"

That's why Play N Trade is better, they care about their customers and don't judge you. Not to say ALL GameStop employees do that, but in my experiences, they do.

The Nintendo 3DS Collector Posts: 513 Group: Members Member #3,110 Joined: Dec 9, 2010	Only once has this happened to me.When i went to picked up a copy of "Dead Or Alive Xtreme 2".At Circuit City back when they used to be in business.So i had brought up the game to the counter.I handed the worker the game and casually say "this will be it" trying to make this purchase as unawkward as possible right.instead of ringing up the game the worker looks at the back of the case.So I'm thinking oh,great and he lift and eyebrow and goes "uh,huh" then he finally rings me up...most awkward purchase I've ever made..

Even when I was getting my shiny Suicune and was like "Derp my battery's dead," they broke out a charger for me to use. I guess I have great luck. Or perhaps I just inspire respect and geniality.

It was fucking awkward.. i looked like 16-17year old and got wierd looks checking out the ds shelf and then picking the pokemon game. edit: Oh and ever since i have bought ALL my ds games (and anime.. etc.) games online. I was told that the Wii is for kids & donkey kong was the same. At that point I told him to stuff the game & asked for the manager. No satisfaction but gamestop didnt get my cash that day. What every happened to being a customer & being treated with respect? If im buying COD or leisure suit larry the clerk can think what they want but I dont want to argue about it or be smirked/laughed at. My money. my choice.

If you're 18+ and are buying a videogame with cute animes on the front, you should get a bit of ribbing for it. If they are suggestive cute animes, then you deserve to be treated like the sick, sick puppy you are. That said, I recently sold my 2nd bike, and I decided to buy my Mum's birthday present, and a present for the people who had been storing my bike for me. So, I approached the supermarket till with two bottle of bolinger (£40 bottles of champagne) and a copy of Pokémon White, because Pokémon is freaking awesome. The look I got from the young cashier was freaking incredible. Eyebrow raised for the Bollinger, and then a sheer WTF!? look for Pokémons. Bitches be knowing about MY Smugleaf. ;D Another one involved BestBuy, and comes from another site I frequent 'somethingawful.com' Guy goes in one day, requests Yakuza 4, clerk wont even look it up on the system, full stop. Customer leaves, really annoyed, but goes back the following day: Went back today, it was on the shelf, one copy left, marked at 39.99. Same dude was there, this time standing around playing Black Ops on some 360 display. So I go over and show it to him just to let him know, because I'd cooled off. I say, "It was 39.99, all you had to do was check it." So what's his response? Doesn't even look away from the screen and says, "Man, whatever, PS3 sucks donkey dck anyway, fck off, man." Another lady, WITH HER 6 YEAR OLD SON, is standing right there and hears this, and is furious, as am I. So we both call the manager over, name the guy by name (Shawn was his name) and complain. The guy actually puts the controller down now and starts blubbering all these shitty excuses, manager just fires the guy on the spot, right in front of us. The guy goes from being scared to angry (even kicked over some Wii display and called the lady a fcking btch really loudly... in front of her son) to crying and saying "What'm I gonna tell my moms, dude?" and trying to beg for his job back (AFTER he had kicked the display and called a woman a b*tch in front of her son) all in the space of like 3 minutes. It was pretty hilarious.

I saw it was on sale for $9.99 and I had a Rewards Zone coupon for $10.00 off XBlades. I walked up to the counter with game in hand expecting to get laughed at but they rang it up, then the coupon, and after a long weird stare just gave me the receipt. Free new game from Best Buy haha.
