This thought just popped into my head: Did people camp out for Old School Games and Consoles?

This is a great question! I guess I'm old school! lol

I'll say, no. It wasn't like today where you have the internet. You really had to get info on hot games from magazines and catalogs. I don't think it was about camping out in front of stores like today, but just being the first to find the games before they sold out.

Kids would send their parents out on impossible missions...find the Legend of Zelda, or Super Mario Bros 2, or Mike Tyson's Punch Out. You pretty much had to just call around or get lucky. That's what I remember. :D

Mhmm. I do remember my friend getting a Dreamcast at launch though. Man I miss those days.
