I got a huge kick out of this:

I have to say, as much at it may disturb some of you here, I pretty much agree with him. Not to mention the video is pretty hilarious.

Ds Games!

Lol look at all those plastic bags. I have to say I don't much enjoy unboxings myself, or most lets play's either, but that's just me.

Let's plays and unboxings have their place. They are good for someone that needs to see them. For instance if I am buying a new product, sometimes I'll look at an unboxing to see what all it comes with, but never more than once. With stuff like the 3DS for instance, I got about 15 unboxings in my subs box. I don't need to see the same thing 15 times. I would rather hear someone's review or thoughts on it.

Unboxing videos do have some merit, especially when I'm undecided about a special edition of a particular game and I want to see the contents. Let's just say that I have unboxing videos to thank for me not purchasing the special editions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Dead Space 2, both of which were not worth the extra price in my opinion. However, I do follow some Youtubers who post unboxing videos of standard issue games and I find those to be very pointless. We all know what comes with a standard Xbox 360/PS3/Wii/PSP/DS game, so I have little interest in watching those. But that's just me...

Can't take him seriously with his other video being about as useless as a chocolate fireguard.

I cant say im a fan of unboxing videos. Its cool when its a special/limited edition print, or an old game that came with some pretty sweet extras inside. Its the same with collection videos, unless they are requested by subscribers i kinda feel its just a little bit like bragging, even though im aware most of the time it's not.

But yeah, they all have thier place. Some people cant stand longplays or lets plays, but they're my favourite type of vid. So who's to really say?
