I'm a little hyped for the Ace Attorney - Professor Layton crossover on the 3DS but I haven't played the Professor Layton games at all. How are they? |

For any fan of the puzzle games I highly recommend the Layton games. One of the best game series on the DS. |

It's one part mystery story, and one part random puzzles. You have to enjoy puzzles to like these games, but if you do you will not be disappointed. My second favorite series on the ds. |

I don't know too much about the series but the one thing i did hear about is the series is brutaly hard. But i like a good challenge so when i get a 3DS on my birthday next month i will definitely get it because i've never own a ds sadly.

Most people enjoy it a lot, personally I have only played the first game and I love/think it is ok at the same time. Puzzles get a little too tough where I am in the game and it gets frustrating, but if you don't mind a challenge are into point and click adventure games with a HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY emphasis on random puzzle solving, then this may end up being amazing for you. Voice acting is spot on and visuals are superb. I think anyone deserves to atleast give themselves a chance to try it out. Like I said, I am a little mixed on it but I do accept it is an amazing game. |

I love the Layton games, I find that the puzzles are fun to sit and work out although some of them can get quite hard. When I first played the games I just fell in love with there charm and all the movie bits I also found the concept of completing a game and stopping the ''bad guy'' with out needing to use violence was great and something that i don't often get to see or play in a game. |

Might want to check out this Classic Game Room review of one of the games: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kbXzaPX3sw It's the one I saw and now I'm interested in the game series. Of course, the new crossover game with Ace Attorney helped too. |

The only problem with the Layton series is that, as it keeps going, it seems like the plot of each game gets crazier and crazier. I like the games for their puzzles, but the stories are just a little too far-fetched for me. |

I'm having a difficult time with some of the puzzles. I think I just need to keep at it though. I'll get back to it eventually. |

Love it! I felt the same way when i heard it, and when i originally played it, i couldn't get into it, so i returned it. I Bought curious village again because that was announced, and i fell in love. The music is amazing, story is great, and puzzles are fun. |

I have the second Prof Layton game in my DS right now. I'm not a big puzzle fan but these games a REALLY fun to play. It might be because I like crime scene investigation stuff as well, and they kind of integrate some elements from that into the games. |

Personally I love the professor layton games one of my favourite franchises. The storylines are amazing (great for me as I love games with a detailed rich story) and the puzzles can get devilishly hard. :-) -TheCreg |
