Does anyone know why my videos have this small horizontal black lines? Watch some of my videos and you'll see those lines. It's usually occours on 720p and I use Sony Vegas Pro 10 to render/edit my videos.

Render settings
-Lower Field First
-29.90 NTSC
-WMV Format

I think that is the only thing that matters if you need more details just tell me.

Watch it here

Calm down. People are probably not responding because they don't have an answer, so would you rather wait a bit for someone who knows how to help, or would you rather have a bunch of useless "sorry, I don't know" responses? Getting angry and impatient isn't going to entice people to help you any faster, if at all.

Another possibility is the section you are posting it in. Try posting it in the "General Youtube Talk" section where the Youtubers tend to congregate. Your questions might be better placed there and hopefully someone will be able to help. I have moved this topic there for you.

Look for options to de-interlace in Vegas... Footage from certain games (like Black Ops) need to be de-interlaced in order to work. There should be an option in Vegas to do this for you. I would say that is why the lines are in your videos. Games that run at 60 FPS seem to be affected by this.

As far as the forums go, they don't get much action during the day. Usually if you are asking for help you have to give it a few days. If you don't get a response and your post falls way down the list, just give it a 'bump' to get it back up to the top. People might have just not seen it.

I know this is not of much help, but it likely has something to do if you are using a Dazzle as well. When I stream/record with a dazzle I tend to get those lines as well. Get a Happague HD PVR and fix the problem.

Yeah, if you could post your exact setup, and link a specific video that is affected by the issue, that would help also. I know one tip is if you render your videos to an adobe flash (.flv) format, it cuts out almost all of the processing time, and your videos are ready and in full quality within a couple minutes of uploading them to youtube.

you only gave us a few hours to respond -_- Sometimes if you upload directly from youtube from your uploader it can help. Adobe premier has this and yours might as well. Also, Pete loan me a couple hundred bucks so i can get an hdpvr...

Along with everyone else's feedback, check the software you are using to capture the footage. Check to see if it has any interlacing settings.

Render settings
-Lower Field First
-29.90 NTSC
-WMV Format
-Deinterlance methond-None (If I switched it to Interpolate or blend the quality get blurred)

Dazzle DVC 130 and recorded with Pinnacle Studio 12.

Here's the example

Yes, that is definitely a de-interlacing issue, but it's honestly not all that bad. You might try to find an external program just to de-interlace your video. Read through the information at the link I post. When I was using a dazzle, I messed with it a lot, and finally this link helped me get the quality right, and the de-interlacing set right. It's a rough read, but if you can get through it, you'll have better video quality on your captures. It should work for your dazzle even though it says DVC 100.

http://www.halo3forum.com/montage-video-help/244232-tutorial-dazzle-100-best-quality-you-can-get.html

Also if you want widescreen for full HD video make sure you have your console set to 16:9 aspect ratio so when you stretch the video out it's not distorted. Just keep in mind you will never get HD quality with the dazzle, but that link will get you close.

Try this as an experiment. Take a short segment of your game capture (so it renders quicker) and try it with Upper Field First instead of lower. Try that by itself, and with both different types of deinterlacing. Then try None(Progressive Scan) for your field order and try it by itself and with both types of deinterlacing. See which one looks the best. The whole problem is the interlaced video, and those should be the only options that affect deinterlacing. This way you will have hit all of your options, so name each one with the way you rendered it, and see which one is the best. What you showed in that clip is actually very impressive looking for a dazzle capture.

Thanks for the help! Now I can get that quality with no lines.

Settings.
-Any field
-Interpolate

Using ''Blend'' gives no line but blurs the video, decreases video quality.
Using ''None'' gives line doesn't blur the video, increases video quality
Using ''Interpolate'' gives no line doesn't blur the video, increases video quality

No problem man. We all like to help here when we can, just don't expect it really quick because the forum traffic is kinda slow right now.

Also keep in mind that for footage that isn't 60 frames per second, you may not need to do all that, and it may actually hurt the quality. You'll have to see what works for what games.
