I recently went to my local best buy in hopes of getting some games that I don't have yet on sale. On one side there were a bunch of the newer titles and on the other there were A bunch of old games that were supposedly brand new for 20$ each. As soon as I saw folklore I immediately wanted to run towards the cash register but something caught my eye while I was looking at the case. Instead of the old cases that have Playstation 3 and blue ray on them it was the newer case that only had the blue ray on it. I looked at a bunch of the other cases and saw the same thing. I luckily found a pretty legitimate copy of folklore that had the old yellow best buy sticker and said it was 60$. Anyway what are you people thinking of this? |

I'm not sure if this is the case everywhere, but Best Buy in Canada has been buying and selling used games for at least the past year, maybe longer. They are surprisingly reasonalbe when it comes to trade-in value for newer games, since I trade two games recently and got $40 credit each. They don't give you cash, rather you get the value of your trade loaded onto a gift card that can be used on anything in the store. The prices for the used games varies and sometimes it's on par with Gamestop ($5 less than full retail - not a value) and other times they are discounted further. It's a good system. |

Yeah, they've been doing that here in the states for a good while as well. I'd say around a year or more. I haven't bought any there, so I can't comment on the quality, but the prices look decent. |

Quality-wise, their trade policy stipulates that the games must be complete (including original artwork and manual) and in good condition, and thankfully they check the discs to ensure they're not too badly scratched. The few used games that I have purchased from Best Buy have, at worst, had some scuffed cases. I can live with that. |

Their prices are more reasonable than Gamestop and they always seem to be low on stock whenever I stop by my local Best Buy. From what I see, they've been successful at it or they're very picky on what they accept on trades lol. Quality wise, they seem well. |

Yeah i haVE always had nothing but good luck buying through best buy. Always good to have another place to check because sometimes the price from one store to the next is fairly diff especially used Blockbuster though is usually were i find the best deals for used games and they usually have buy 2 get 1 free or buy 1 get 1 free. They also seem to always have a different sale every time i am in there. |
