While I am not a Castlevania fan myself, I must admit that Dracula X is one of the finest examples of the TG's capabilities. If anyone ever tells you that the TG sucks, make them play both Ys and Dracula X, then ask them to state their opinion again. Personally, I'm terrible at platformers, but even I beat this game fair and square (after much frustration) with both characters and 100% completion. As shown in the video, Maria is way better than Richter, especially with that one move that platform failures like me love: the double jump! Great game! I know it's expensive to buy, but GO GET IT!* * Get the PSP one if the TG one is out of reach. Edited by Naniyue, Nov 2 2011, 12:22 PM.

Great review! I love this game! It's probably my second-favorite "traditional" Castlevania behind Bloodlines. I was playing thru it again just last month. FYI, the game is also available on Wii Virtual Console for 900 points. It's the original Japanese version. Highly recommended! |

i have the psp game and yeah they do though i think the japanese language track can also be selected. |

Started watching the video. Very fun and entertaining! Makes me want to play the game again! I suggest actually playing the game for a while first, if you never have before, so that there won't be too many spoilers. EDIT: That DANG Death! I don't know how many times I had to go against that @!$#@!$@ before I FINALLY managed to beat him! EDIT 2: I challenge all of you to beat the "toyota" boss mix using Richter! Even a Castlevania dunce like me pulled it off! Granted, I was ready to kill the makers of the game by that point, though. I prefer to use Maria's alter ego attack instead. Heh. The "toyota" boss mix. I've cleared the whole game with Richter, except for that one boss that requires Maria to get to. I do have trouble with the mummy, tho, when he raises those three blocks that you have to jump over, followed by his barrage of bandages. The magic book (or Bible?) comes in handy there. |

Yeah, that mummy ticked me off the most. Well, second to Death, that is. When I was first playing the game, I was 3/4 done with it when I finally rescued Maria. I wish I had found her sooner, as that may have left me with better, rather than bitter, memories of the game. It was fun, though, actually playing it in Japan, as I had bought it there while on foreign exchange. |

I recently heard samples of the English voice acting from the PSP version. The dubbing job is not that bad!
