"Always room for Jello!" - Ha ha! Another great review! Keep them coming! This was one of the first TG16 CD games I played, and was a nice little introduction to the CD-ROM medium. Personally, I like it the best out of the four Valis games, as it's the only one that doesn't drive me insane to beat. Any platformer I can beat fair and square is a miracle, so I never did get that "empty" feeling from this one. Although much more difficult, at least for me, I DO suggest playing the remake of Valis I for those that find this game too easy. Edited by Naniyue, Dec 13 2011, 08:20 PM.

I've never played a Valis game, although I've read about them. They strike me as second-rate action games with fan service. But aside from that, I assume they're decent games since the series lasted as long as it did and still has a fan base. Well, except for that one game that's apparently a pornographic visual novel. (Don't need that pesky gameplay getting in the way, eh? )Anyway, since the series was originally made by Telenet, does that mean Sunsoft currently owns the rights? |
