Ugh anyone else make any mistakes while shopping on Ebay? This is probably not a big deal but anyway. I had ordered a game and had my old address on it from when I lived with my parents, but I had changed it on my account before I made my purchase but did not delete my old address. I just did not want the post office to return the package back to the sender. I had moved in early fall this year, well only next door. I sent him a message about it and gave him my new address. Do you guys think he will think it's fraudulent? I hope not cause I really want that game!

I did the same thing, except it was sent to my olf flat. No-one was there to pick it up, so it was sent to the nearest post depot and left a slip at the address. Then my old flatmate didnt tell me about it until the day it was to be sent back to the sender...i was furious. Then the person said they sent me the wrong cables anyway and would have had to send them back...what a pain in the ass.

i still havent emailed them back...was sick of the messing about. Ebay has some stupid ass sellers. :(

That would drive me insane! I have bad anxiety issues so I would not be able to stop worrying until it would get delivered. But the seller I ordered my game from seems to be pretty good with shipping and stuff like that from his reviews.

Never had a mistake with ebay. Just wanting to let most of you know that only buy from sellers with 100% positive feedback and have sold more than 50 items. That way you know your getting your moneys worth.

I sell on eBay and have had some buyers request change of address. If they email me and notify me, then chances are they aren't fraudulent. If I see some strange address with a different name from their paypal name and it states very clearly, "uncomfirmed" then I email them to confirm. Your seller won't care as long as you emailed them. They are guaranteed protected under paypal seller protection as long as they provide delivery confirmation and can show your email as back-up in case anything happened. You'll be fine.

Actually i just remembered...

I sold an N64 a couple of years back with about 8 boxed games, 10 loose carts, 4 pads and 4 memory cards. 1 of these memory cards wasnt stated in the description but i found an extra and threw it in anyway. They said it never arrived and i didnt do it by recorded delivery, so lost my money and my N64 with some fantastic games. Given that the reason i was selling it was so i could manage to pay the rent i was totally gutted.

Who can i blame but myself though, had i covered my own back then i could have appealed. Lesson learned and hopefully a bit wiser.

(a little anyway)

Ds Games!

I had an e-bay mishap once. The very first time I used e-bay I ordered two ds games from Hong Kong. I learned my lesson after that.

I've done that when I was younger. I remember ordering some GBA games and was like man, what a deal! I get them and the boxes are obviously faked with a 2 page instruction booklet. The games did work but they didn't save any data so I never played them. Such a waste.

I was selling some stuff for a friend and didn't realize he had bootlegged dvds in the mix I sold, I gave a quick refund when I got the message. Best accident was winning what I thought was the Demon's Souls cd and artbook pretty cheap and finding out after further reading that I also got the game with it haha.

I'm lucky to say I've had only positive experiences with eBay and I've been buying for years. Recently a seller sent me an item in the wrong color but they were very good about fixing their mistake.

You have to act fast or you'll lose your item during the delivery.

I stick with amazon, which denies me bundles and such but I still get pretty good deals. I'd love to be able to use ebay but thats a no go with my living situation.

Sega Does What Nintendon't

I buy a lot of stuff from eBay and have only had one bad experience.

I bought a boxed Sega CD that was stated as being mint with everything. It even had detailed pictures of the unit that wasn't stock photos but of the item I was buying. When the Sega CD got here it wasn't the one pictured but rather one that looked like it had been unearthed from its grave or found laying under someone porch. I was pissed but I hooked the unit up to test it out as I was really only buying it to have one boxed. Needless to say the unit never worked all it did was make horrible grinding sounds. I was able to get my money refunded but I lost shipping on the unit and it wasn't cheap being a boxed Sega CD.

I have had other minor things happen but this was the only time I have been blatantly conned or lied to with the item description and pictures not matching what was shipped.
