I've been playing on a Standard definition TV since I was a wee boy, however recently my parents got a new tv and gave me their old 40" Samsung LCD with 720p. So in one day, I went from a 32" standard definition TV to a 40" 720p with HDMI. All I can say is OH MY GOD.THE DIFFERENCE! It was completely worth the 6 year wait. I can now finish Mass Effect 2,since I'm able to finally see the damn text. Skyrim has amazing graphics and movies will look gorgeous. I was definitely recommend anyone with the money and still in the dark ages to upgrade, you won't be disappointed. I just have a few questions 1)Is there really a difference between component and HDMI? I can only see a slight change. 2)Will my PC look crystal clear if I plug it in via VGA? 3)If I purchase a VGA Splitter, will I be able to use dual monitors? I prefer asking real people then looking online, I just find it better,no technical jargon and such. Edited by Blackhebrew2, Jan 3 2012, 07:56 AM.

Yea the change is crazy! all i can answer is 1) http://www.bluejeanscable.com/articles/dvihdmicomponent.htm really perfect article to explain it but in summary, it really depends on what you are using it for and the quality of either cable (gold plated component is very similar to hdmi and can be even better if its a crappy hdmi cable) Hope I helped a little! |
