Perhaps I should just reinstall Vista; My computer is acting up

Crossover guru Posts: 1,145 Group: Members Member #3,708 Joined: Apr 11, 2011	So one day, I turned on my computer, only for it to be attacked by 11 viruses and around 30 malware. I got rid of these buggy bastards but the damage has been done. My computer is acting weird and some programs do not work right. This is bad because I'm in the middle of finishing my videos for my channel and even though Movie Maker works, it won't convert them into videos to upload. I've searched for answers everywhere but nothing works. I've tried System Restore, I've tried System Repair, I've tried diagnostics, I even payed 10 bucks for a copy of the drives for Vista to burn on a disc so that it could repair it but nothing. Nothing works. I can't do my work with this computer at this state so my only option left is to restore it back to it's factory settings and start all over, but I want this as a last resort because it's a paint to backup ALL of my files and to restore my computer on how it was. So does anyone have any ideas what's going on and what I should do?

It was acting up with certain programs and was slow as hell too. In the end i did just wipe it and started again. It may be a pain but it'll be worth it. I read that you should do this every now and again anyway to keep your PC running at top performance, but im far too lazy for that. Got waaaay too much stuff to be bothered backing up. :/
