There is a possiblity that Eli is out if he is out its pretty much an automatic 49ers win.
Sometimes I just feel so gaberflasted.

Brady played terribly too, he'll be fired up to play better in the Super Bowl and especially against the Giants who took it away from the Pats last year. Should be a good one.

Giants took it away from them in 2007.

My poor, poor Ravens. Only they could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in such spectacular fashion. Go Giants?!

Most people In my area (I live about an hour from SF) are pissed that the 49ers lost. With me its not so much that the niners lost, its more that the Giants won. I'm really not even looking forward to the Super Bowl. I hate both teams and, on top of that, we already saw the Patriots and Giants play in the Super Bowl a few years back. The only thing I to look forward to now is the commercials. -_-

I always look forward to the Super Bowl. I love the commercials, it's still football (and the last game until next season), the commercials are awesome, and so is the food. My kids also enjoy it because of the wings I make every year. I'm a chef, so I plan on putting out quit a spread this year. Just wish my Ravens had made it and if not them, the Niners.

In honor of the AFC and NFC champions, I found some funny tweets about the League Championship games.

"I want to wish Billy Cundiff a very Merry Kickmiss."

"The Giants should give Kyle Williams the game ball, but he'd probably drop it."

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I personally think that if Tom Brady were to win this Super Bowl, he will have eclipsed Joe Montana as the greatest QB in NFL history. I mean, 5 SB appearances with 4 of them being wins, multiple records and overall an amazing career. As much as I hate the Patriots, I respect Tom Brady purely for his skill on the field and do believe he would pass Joe Montana with a win in this game.

It's weird with most sports you can clearly say who was the best is like with MJ and basketball. But when it comes to football no one can ever say for sure who the best is. I do agree however that if he wins he'll be up their with Montana, Elway, Marino, and Bradshaw.

Wait a minute. Who said Montana was the greatest ever? He might not even be the greatest 49er QB. Steve Young started fewer years and was FAR more productive. Not trying to be a jerk at all, really. But what passing records does Montana own? None. True, he gets credit for the wins in a TEAM sport, but he doesn't even have the most of those either. He might be one of the greatest clutch or big game QB's (or playoffs for that matter), but he's not even in the top 5, in-my-opinion, all-time in the discussion for "Greatest Quarterback."

All-Time top 5 in no-order as of right now:

Tom Brady
Peyton Manning
Dan Marino
John Elway
Brett Favre

Then you've got:

Dan Fouts
Terry Bradshaw
Jonny Unitas
Otto Graham
Joe Montana
Warren Moon
Steve Young, among many others.

Nevermind, that the actual greatest WR of all time, Jerry Rice, played for the 49ers.

Montana was awesome, and Brady is the new iteration of the unflappable, clutch QB. Even after doing a quite a few searches, I still can't believe how many people agree with you, but I can't bring myself to think otherwise.

I'll reword what I said. In my opinion, Joe montana is currently the best QB to have ever played the game. True to what you said, his career was not filled with record setting stats, that was never what he was known for. The reason I think he should be considered the best ever is simply because of his 4 SB wins, long standing playoff win record and overall clutch performance. In the NFL, the goal is to win on the big stage (the playoffs) and win a Super Bowl, and Joe Montana certainly succeeded in that category. But the arguement could be made that any of the QB's on your top 5 are better, It's just personal opinion I guess. :P

Yeah, after thinking about it some more, if Brady is in the top 5, Montana has to be. He's definitely an amazing Super Bowl and Playoff QB. I'd even say the best. But what makes him less, in my eyes, is how injury-prone he was and the lack of comparative regular-season stats. That, and he had an amazing supporting cast while Steve Young did an amazing job of replacing him.

It's not a question that can be answered definitively by anyone, so there you go. I'd much rather have Montana on my team than Favre, that's for sure ;)

Yeah, I honestly think that without Rice, Montana would not be the legend he is today, and the same for Rice without Montana. Seeing Rice ranked as the number one on the NFL's top 100 list actually doesn't sit well with me. I seriously think that if Randy Moss had played with a QB like Montana in his prime he would have been better. I would take Moss in his prime over rice in his prime nine times out of ten. Back on topic though, yes it's true that Montana had a great suppoting cast that contributed to his success while Brady has done it with average players. I mean sure, he had Moss for a couple seasons and Deion Branch was decent too, but other than that, Brady hasn't had a huge weapon like Montana did. Tom Brady took an unknown tight end this season and made him have one of the best seasons for a TE in NFL history. That just goes to show that Brady doesn't need all-star recievers, and that is why I think overall he is better than Montana, especially with a win at this SB.
