Agreed on Brady. And that was what I was referring to with Montana, because Young did so well after. So was it the system, or the supporting cast, or did San Fran catch lightning in a bottle two times in a row? I dunno, I just think that that takes a little away from Montana and further shows how great Manning is. Also, with Brady, when he was hurt, Matt Cassel came in and did a very serviceable job. Which, again, brings up the same questions as they do for Montana. It's also pretty interesting that Favre, Montana, and Young were all West Coast Offense QB's and none of them really had a top-tier running game (although Roger Craig was very good, and Rathman was a MAN). Anyways, this convo is one of the reasons I really like this forum. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to an adult conversation without it devolving into flames and such. I really appreciate it. |

Yeah, for the most part people on this forum are pretty respectful and mature about things (although I'm sure there are a few exceptions :P). This thread should serve as an example; just becase you don't share the same ideas as someone else doesn't mean you have to resort to acting like children, just talk it out like adults and respect that the other person is entitled to their opinion. I'm really glad we were able to have a nice little debate/conversation, something I can honsetly say I haven't done in quite a while on any other forum. Lol.

Wow, so the Giants won. Being an Eagles fan, i'm not too happy with this.  i swear if that last hail mary pass from Brady had been ticked like a foot higher, Gronkowski could have got it. Oh well. :/

You mean it just put the other Manning in the HOF. I think Peyton secured a spot In the hall a while ago. But yeah, great performance by Eli Manning as much as I hate to compliment anyone on the NY Giants. Lol

I called Eli in hall of famer, everyone I talked to was like ha whatever, there are QBs that have less credentials or the same as Eli did that would be considered a hall of famer, this pretty much puts the stamp on my arguemen, he's now has two superbowls and two MVP, His brother only has one and he is considered a lock, so why is it so unbelievable that Eli could be a HOFer |

I enjoyed the game, I was due to go to a friends house to watch it but snow stopped me  . I still had fun at home drinking whiskey, till 3am to watch it, I guess I was cheering on the patriots as I could of would have liked it to have seen the champions at wembley in October but oh well it was a great ending to the match. |

Agreed. At least the draft is coming soon and the "Peyton Sweepstakes" will be interesting. @Scruffy: That game at Wembley wasn't the greatest example of American football. I don't understand why our teams can't seem to perfom well across the pond, but once it becomes more of a regular thing, I think you'll see some more interesting games. |
