Anyone have any? For any reason at all? And no flaming, just honest opinions. Be open to everyone's reasons...but the thought crossed my mind the other day...

I love Blink-182, don't get me wrong. I grew up with them...but when they split, the members each made more kick ass bands. +44 and Angels and Airwaves...then Blink got back together...and it's awful. The new album is bad, and you can tell they only got together again so they can make money. Granted, they are a little better live now, but still.

Anyone else feel this way about another band?

Guns n Roses
Alice in Chains

Two of my favorite bands as I was growing up, but I honestly can't stand them now. Kind of like making a clan/guild and then remaking that same clan/guild for each sequel but not having all the same members. It isn't the same and the magic is gone.

SKO fo lyfe!

We have taken the noise of gunpowder as our rhythm and the sound of machine guns as our melody.

Technically, Guns N' Roses never broke up ;)

Going off-topic, but one band I'm absolutely ecstatic about getting back together was Soundgarden. Saw them live over the summer in Chicago and they are fan-fucking-tastic! Can't wait for their new album to come out! Now if only Audioslave would get back together.... Seeing as Rage Against the Machine is going nowhere.

+44 and Angels&Airwaves were awesome bands but I actually like the fact that blink 182 reunited and I enjoyed their new album.

Off the top of my head, Linkin Park and Aerosmith should've stayed broken up imo

I know what you mean about GNR. But once Slash left, along with the rhythm section years later, it was never the same. Especially once Axl stopped doing coke and couldn't sing anymore.

I thought Cornell was part of Audioslave. Wouldn't that make it impossible to reunite? Would rather have Rage because that was some of the most awesome shit ever. That's music to get into a fight to.

BTW, love Soundgarden! I haven't heard any of their new stuff but they were another fav growing up.

Haha, yeah, I know what you mean.

And, yeah, but I can always dream about a Soundgarden/Audioslave/Rage tour, can't I? xD Velvet Revolver just did a one off show last week I think, so I don't see why Audioslave couldn't do something similar (though more than a one off!).
