So since the SuperBowl is this weekend, the question has been asked multiple times. So who do you think is the best Quarterback that has ever played? I personally believe it's Tom Brady. He has been great for multiple years and has won games all by his self. I also believe he's the best because he's so successful without having a good defense. So anyways who do you think it is? |

I'm gonna go with the same guy I did on the NFL Playoffs thread. If Tom Brady wins this Super Bowl, i think he will be the best in NFL history, passing up Joe Montana. If the Patriots lose this SB, he will be tied with Montana for the best in my mind. |

I'm gonna have to go with Peyton Manning. You saw what the Colts were without him. But, on the other hand, Brady has some of the best seasons by any QB, is adaptable, is so fiery, and three rings say it all. Kinda like 1 and 1A in my opinion. The only QB that I would want on my team other than those two would be Marino. So, for me, it's Manning. Brady a close second and Marino right behind him. |

I will also have to agree that Peyton Manning is the best Qb ever because of how much he meant to the team for going 10-6 to 2-14 just because he is not there. As with Tom Brady I think that he is in the top 5 of all time but i think that it is the system that makes him look like god on the field because when he went down in the 2008 season Matt Cassel came in and looked like a Pro-bowl player in that offense. |

the greatest qb of all time doesn't exist. I understand that its fun to compare/contrast and play the what if game but in all actuality its really impossible to determine. There were different defenses from different eras that all of the great qb's had to deal with. Who knows how they would fare. |

I agree. However, using your own argument, QB's from the earlier years would've been better than their stats indicate because of the rule changes in the NFL that have opened up the passing game, making many of those defense's not as good. It's all speculation, and yes, nobody can agree, but it's still fun. |

What does the Super Bowl really have to do with it? I mean yeah, it's winning the big game and I GET that it takes a great TEAM to do so but, let me put it this way. How do you feel about Terry Bradshaw? |

Exactly my point lol. Bradshaw has 4 rings too, but NOBODY puts that lump up for best QB because we all know he wasn't. He's Trent Dilfer, only Pittsburgh didn't cut him after he won the first one like Baltimore did lol. |
