I'm picking this up as I type this, but I was wondering what everyone else thought of it? Did anyone pick it up? Did people enjoy the first one? The original took me some time to get through, but I loved it when I look back on it. That being said, I only played it through once and haven't completed the DLC. Better get on that before I play the xbla game... |

It looked interesting and I haven't picked up Alan Wake yet. Does this game stand on its own without me having to have played Alan Wake? |

I don't think you'd appreciate the XBLA title if you haven't played the original. |

Alan Wake is my favorite Xbox 360 game! So far I'm enjoying this DLC, but I dunno I'm not looking forward to playing through it multiple times. I get that the story will probably change as I play through it again for a 2nd time but they really haven't motivated me much to want to continue on storywise, and it has a bit more combat rather than story to it. I do love the Mr. Scratch videos though, absolute genius! |

I love the first game a lot of the time that game had me at the edge of my seat, but i play the trail version of the game on Xbox live tonight and for some reason the game did not click with me like the first one did. I mean everything i played was awesome but something about it just rub me the wrong way. I did played video games all day today and that was the last game i played so maybe i was just tired so i will give it another try once i am rested. |

I am a big fan of the original Alan Wake, so I was super-hyped for American Nightmare. In short, it delivered in most areas, fell short in others, but you will definitely get your $15 worth out of it. It takes about 4.5 to 5 hours to beat and there is next to no replay value, however the game still has the winning formula that made the original so enjoyable. I wrote a lengthy review of it in my blog, if anyone is interested. Check it out... http://theconsuminator.blogspot.com/2012/02/review-alan-wakes-american-nightmare.html |
