Cold Remedies?

I should be at work right now, however, here I sit on the verge of death fighting off the worst cold I've had in years...possibly ever. I've got the sneezing, runny nose, ridiculous sinus pressure, the whole deal.

I can't be 100% sure, but I think I picked it up from my visiting nephew (damn kids) or perhaps on a recent business trip to Detroit. Regardless, some exotic disease has me me completely incapacitated. What do you guys do when you get this sick? I'm on a steady stream of Cold Eeze and Sprite, but it's not doing a damn thing. I'm open to suggestions!

*sniff sniff*

Thanks!

Nyquil wins! Two green pills and I was good as new the next morning. Win!

Marketing wins! Nyquil doesn't actually treat or cure anything, it just relieves the symptoms temporarily so you can rest...

Sleep is really the only way to get rid of a cold, but sleeping while you have one can be difficult. This is where Nyquil can come in handy since it makes you drowsy and reduces your fever. As for daytime cold remedies, I find medication to be hit and miss, so I simply take an Advil Cold & Flu and drink lots of water and tea. It doesn't cure it right away, but it at least makes it more tolerable.

Feel better soon :)

LOL!!!

On the cold note, there is no such thing as a cure for the common cold. There are "cures" for some symptoms that just come back once you wake up.

And yeah....Herpes. If you want something to stick around for a while, get that.

I know it might sound stupid but if you fill a sink with boiling water (straight from the kettle), put your head right down to the water and cover your head and the sink with a towel so the steam can't escape, and breathe it in. If you keep at it for 10/15 minutes you should feel the benefits at least a bit.

Works more than cough bottles and all that for me :P

Edit: Just realised the post date, you probably won't need to do that now haha

these things blew my mind when i first discovered them. Clears all the shit out for a few hours and leaves you with a manageable cold.
