i go to college in the fall and im going to go for engineering. i will make bank.
lol Just make sure you're ready for the program buddy. I think one person out of the fifteen or so I knew with that same thought switched majors. The majority of them we're really into robotics and electronics too and they STILL didn't dig it. Don't ever get into a career for the money.
Nah dude i know what im doing. my high school is a PLTW school (Project LEAD The way) meaning that the goverment gave my school i bunch a money to teach us engineering. in 7th-sketch and design,8th-robitics,9th-intro to engineering part 1,10th-intro to engineering part 2, and those are the classes everybody has to take. then there is still the other classes (adv engineering and shopbot machinery). so i think ready but thanks for the concern.
It would be nice if that was available at more schools. I would have to say that yours is one of the few that has a program that in depth. That's a really awesome oppourtunity. A lot of high schools offer college credit, but not like that.

My brother goes to a public school where they focus courses on medical related careers.

Yeah, I didn't have that in my high school, and I didn't study either. |:

It must have something to do with the vocational and inustrial needs of the area

I've unfortunately had to drop out, after being only 1 class away from my Associates in Arts degree due to the fact that I'm living on my own without any help from my mother (not because she doesn't want to, but because she can't afford it) and I just could not work as much as I needed and go to school at the same time.

However, after I get married in December, I do plan to go back to school in order to get my Bachelors (maybe Masters) degree in Education...eventually, I hope to become a middle or high school teacher or guidance counselor.

I'm doing my second year of my second degree now, a Bsc Optometry.
Its a very good degree (I've been told its the hardest course to get into at my uni) and I'll hopefully get through and work in my mum's business at the end of it. Really interesting course so far, with a lot more clinical work so far than i thought we'd have done.
Is that at Caley by any chance? I notice you're from Glasgow haha.

If so I also go to Caley, doing Web Systems, in my third year and should really be studying for exams!

I enrolled in a philosophy college in 2011, my subjects were French and Spanish (+ Portugese) languages and literature and after a few months I realized that it was a bad decision so now I'm waiting for the next academic year to enroll in philosophy and sociology, right now I don't go to college any more and I'm trying to find a job to pay off my scholarship for the next year, wish me luck. :)

Oh, and another thing, in Croatia we don't have major and minor system, we have A1 and A2 subject and those are equally represented in studying so it's a bit a pain in the ass situation. :D
