I see him as an excellent quarterback coach or commentator. Hopefully they'll replace Gruden with him.

He would make an excellent coach, commentator, or really any leader or speaking job football related. And I hope he goes that route. Of course the Colts are my team so I really wish he was just staying there. Is it official yet?

As an Indianapolis resident I can tell you this whole thing has been a soap opera. . But what I do know, is that Manning will 100% be playing next year, and he is either going to be on the Dolphins, Broncos, or Redskins according to most writers here in Indy.

I'm hoping for Miami. Bring in Reggie Wayne with him and you have yourself one hell of an offense.

Yea, Reggie Wayne won't be with the Colts next year either. A lot of speculation is saying it could be a package deal and both end up going to Miami.

It is sad when these type of things happen and then you learn that professional sports teams aren't a families like some try to make them out to be.

Apparently Wednesday they will talk in a press conference. Ive heard a lot about redskins but I think that would be a mistake. I do believe that coaching job would be best BUT I know he isn't ready to leave the game yet and he's too much of a hot hand for any team to give up.

Peyton will go to Arizona, Denver, or Seattle. I seriously doubt he'll go to the Deadskins, or anyone else, because they don't have what he needs (good offensive line, a running game, and a plethora of recievers). He won't be retiring, he's got 4-5 good years of football left in him.

The owner of the Colts is a NOT a football fan and a dumbass. I saw him on the NFL network and it was very clear he is all about money. I think people are to hyped up about Andrew Luck. I think RG3 will be more successful in the NFL. Knowing how the Jets sign players they will probably sign Peyton Manning, he also might go to the Dolphins with Reggie Wayne.

Definitely, in most senses RG3 is a better athlete and he out performed Luck in every aspect of the combine.

Luck was only out-performed by RG3 in the 40 if I recall correctly. And they're QB's so there goes that almost meaningless stat. And when did the combine mean more than the actual games anyways? Don't give into the hype bro. Luck, a four-year starter with a pedigree, versus RG3 from Baylor, and who did Baylor play again? Oh yeah, that's right, nobody. That sounds harsh, but RG3's type of QB play may pay dividends in the short-term, but Luck's career-arc will be better and it's not like he isn't the best QB prospect, grade-wise, since Elway. RG3=meh.

And yes, this decision was made because of the money AND because the Colts had the first pick and Luck is sitting there waiting. No, he won't be as good as Peyton, it would be stupid to think that anyone would be, period. BUT, Peyton is 35. He has FAR more good years behind him than ahead and it would be ludicrous to bet everything on the hopes that he has 4-5 good years left when Luck, or even RG3, is sitting there and could play for the next 15.

Too lazy to make a new thread but, based on "reports", Peyton will sign a 5 year deal with the Broncos. I think its a good move. In terms of what happens to Tebow, maybe Denver will keep him in Peyton's wing. Who knows? Tim Tebow might learn from Peyton. Or they could trade him.
