I would give up gaming no doubt , as steve neville said games are just games , sex is so much more. I love gaming as much as the next person but its not as important as sex and giving up games wouldnt be that hard as i have other hobbys , I cant see how anyone could give up sex.

I think the fact that you treat sex as a forbidden fruit that is only enjoyable when consumed in rare doses, like a drug of some kind, is a problem. I am a very well-rounded, married individual who enjoys sex on a constant basis. Having sex has never sacrificed our ability to laugh, play games, cuddle, and connect on different levels. We are so much more than sex, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't have it. |

If that meant that I became some form of Asexual person who didn't have mechanical desires, then I would give up sex. But if it meant that I'll be frustrated, for example, as if I was boxed in a cage withheld from freedom, then I'd have to choose to be able to have sex. Videogames can be easily replaced with any other medium, I could watch movies instead for instance. lmao...I can't believe you guys took it so seriously. Mamonuth, I don't know what part of my statement is being "ignorant". Have you ever heard of the word...porn? Due to the nature of the work, nearly every pornstar has an std, genital herpes is a common one. Tbh, it really doesn't matter what you choose. So what if one is prefered over the other. So what if I prefer video games over sex? Both have health advantages and disadvantages. I personally see more advantages in playing video games a little bit almost everyday rather than having constant sex with my girlfriend. |

I would have to give up games, no doubt. I like playing video games with my girlfriend a lot, but i sure as hell know what is more important. As hard as we would try, i dont think playing any amount of video games would bear us a child.  Obviously sex isnt the most important thing in a relationship, but there are many other hobbies in the world and only a couple of alternatives to sex. |

To the people who say sex isn't important, listen to this. You can say you have it once, twice, or maybe a few times a year so it isn't THAT important, but imagine losing that few times a year and that adding up. Not being able to have a kid, granted you can adopt one, and not being able to please your spouse. |

Yeah, it's pretty much essential to our mental and physical well being. Not to sound too hokey, but aliens outside of Earth might think we're irrational for our desires, as they can't sympathize why we treat Sex with such high regards. Best way to put it to an outsider, it's a drug passed down by our descendants that has developed and has been ingrained well into us. So me to give up sex, I'd have to have to give up my ability to feel pleasure, because the withdrawals would be as frustrating as any drug or the of our freedom, being contained in a concentration. I mean, you could substitute that by taking up your time with other things, but again, that would be hard. |

It's overrated because that sounds like poor quality ghetto whore sex. Strippers and porn stars? How did you get the glitter and smell of desperation off? I'd give up games, sex, and anything else I enjoyed in life, except maybe music, to have sex with the woman in my life I consider the woman of my dreams if that's the price she charged...however, I don't think that's ever going to happen, and if she did offer it like that, she'd get a nice speech on how I deserve it without a price...but now, I'm just being bitter. Lol. |

I think we have a topic full of addicts. I can safely say there is nothing in my life I wouldn't give up if needed to. Just because we don't have sex 30 times a week like some people doesn't mean we are treating it like "a forbidden fruit" it just means it's something that isn't a key part of our relationship and something we don't need to be happy together. Plus we do NOT want kids at all. Ever. Period. I HATE Children. Give me a good loyal pet over a smart ass kid any day. I was in a relationship with a girl for two years and we had sex 2-3 times a day at least 4 or 5 times a week- and I didn't enjoy it anymore than I enjoyed eating a good meal. It didn't make our relationship last any longer or anything. It was just there. I'm past the point in my life to need to some horny-ass teenager/pervy old man. I feel the same way about smoking, drugs, and alcohol. I won't do them- I've seen too many lives (both people I know, and others) who have ruined their lives and harmed innocent people by doing them. And to be honest- I think anyone who does those things shouldn't be allowed to reproduce, drive, or vote. And before someone pulls a snarky-ass comment- I'm not saying sex will kill you- or you will die if you have sex (though this is possible). I'm also not treating it like some sort of sacred holy thing (I'm not religious) but I'm not treating it like it is the greatest thing to ever grace humanity (far from it). It just something- an activity I do not need to partake in to be happy if it happens it happens- if not I don't care.. To me- It may as well be the same damn thing as boxing or running a marathon seeing as however I do not partake in either. This topic = Joke. |

I'm going to try and say your opinion is wrong, because obviously it's your opinion, and.. It's really not a wrong opinion to have in any way. BUT I do sense some serious hostility in your post. The thread is made for fun, you weigh two things you probably value; one from heritage, one you have been brought up through your environmental condition, and you choose one to keep and one to discard. Of course people can be silly with their response, but it's kind of expected since the desire for sex is like a drug entrapped within our body. It's not like a cigarettes or any other stimulant where you can discard or avoid it. On the contrary to treating it like a drug, we've come to cherish our ability to have sex, and have a meaningful and personal relationship with another human being through this function. I'm not saying we have relationships just for sex, but we usually create bonds in correspondence to our accessories (note: I said usually). And as social creatures, we want that intimate relation with other human beings, which is why we value having sex. But you could say... Oh, I can give up sex because I really enjoy videogames, and that medium is very meaningful to me. Sure, I would say that is perfectly plausible reason.. But there are better alternatives for me to replace videogames than there is for replacing sex. For instance, as I've stated, there's movies or board games or whatever else that isn't videogames. You could say at this time, with our current heritage, you could refrain from having sex while having a partner. Again, that's you, and you can definitely do that. But I do think you're undermining your identity.. Our ability to have sex has been passed down for ages, it's a big part of who we are, I really couldn't go dismissing it, because it's part of us. Than again, I personally wish I was immortal and didn't have to rely on water or food or sex or a home. I really wish I was 'free'...But that's not happening. |

Easy, I'd give up video games. Sex with my fiancée doesn't compare to anything else. There is a connection that goes with it, intimacy and love that I cannot get from anything else. If you'd asked me this question years ago before I met the woman I plan on spending the rest of my life with, I'd probably have said sex. Sex up until then was just, meh, it was there, it didn't mean anything and it did not interest me. It was only when I met my fiancée and fell in love that I fully understood how different it was to have sex with someone I truly loved. The connection it gives us and our relationship is something unique to sex, which is why I wouldn't ever give it up for anything. |
