Hey! I have been a SEGA/Nintendo/Sony Console gamer all my life, and I feel it may be time to get into the xbox 360. I was just wondering, what type of console should I get? I am considering buying the 'Star Wars Limited Edition Console' because I love star wars, and the console looks really cool. Do you think it will be worth alot in the future? Is this edition of the console being mass produced? It is quite expensive ... I could just get a normal 360 elite for much cheaper. I don't think I will use the kinect, at all, but would be cool to have if I ever want to play anything kinect related. Anyway, thanks for your time guys, I just really need some advice on wether I should get a normal 360 console, or spend a few hundred more and get the star wars edition. In the end, the extra money is not a factor, but I could have used the money spent on the limited edition on a few games. Oh while you guys are at it, maybe you can mention a few awesome exclusive games on the 360, random ones that are not popular but are good. I am mainly getting a 360 to play some of the awesome J-RPG's the PS3 never got. Thanks! |

Well, it may be worth something in the future because of how late in the lifespan of the 360 it is and I don't see many units being moved, making it harder to find later. But with how many units have been sold in general for 360, I don't see any of them being worth much for a very long time. I'm no expert, especially in games, but it will be a couple decades before you would be able to get a return on that investment, so if I were you, go for the cheaper one and get the games. Exclusives that I would recommend are Mass Effect (hybridish rpg), the Gears Trilogy (shooter), and Lost Odyssey (jrpg). There are more, but I think that would get you started nicely regardless of tastes. |

I've actually had my eye on this for about a year. I'm in need of a new xbox since I've had mine for about 4 and half years and out of space on my 20g hd plus the new xbox is so awesome, has more space, and comes with kinect. I'm not buying it for collector purposes but im sure it will be sought after in the future. |

![]() R2D2 and C3PO What I'm looking at on Amazon, it seems that if you want this console, you have to buy it with the Kinect bundle. The hardware retails for 450$... So it's far out of my price range, even though the 360 looks neat. I was looking for a 360 since my old one RROD'd on me, but I'll probably go with one that doesn't come with a kinect and extra games that I probably wont play. |

As cool as the Star Wars edition is, I don't think it's the ideal choice for an everyday Xbox. If you value function over form, you're better off getting a standard meat-and-potatoes elite and a few console-exculsive games. However, everyone is familiar with how Star Wars memorbilia goes. I can't say for sure how many are being produced, but f you keep that thing sealed and minty, someone will pay you a lot of money a few years from now to have it. Of course, that means you bought a $450 Xbox and never used it, and that just seems silly if you don't already have one. |

Speaking from experience, you'll love the novelty of having a Star Wars themed console in the beginning, once that wears off though, you're left with an overpriced console with a custom paintjob. I bought the limited edition Modern Warfare 2 360 console, Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap Game Boy Advance SP and a God of War themed PSP. They're all quite cool, but the asking price when I bought them was way too much. It's easy to get suckered in to buying them, while I appreciate them as a cool part of my collection, looking back on it now I probably wouldn't have handed over that much cash for them. |
