Guys he is not lying they really did air toonami on adult swim last night. They showed DBZ, Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo, outlaw star, big o, yu yu hakusho and others. They also showed the promo dreams which was shown after every show ended and even did a game review of mass effect 3. If you don't believe us just look up toonami and you will find out that they really did air it last night. |

yeah it was a joke but if it got the ratings up in no time there will be toonami back probably on saturdays like they use to after they stopped doing toonami on weekdays. I'm happy to hear this. I think Cartoon Network is jumping on the same idea that TeenNick did by bring back classic Nickelodeon shows at night. It's been extremely successful with shows like Hey Arnold, Salute your shorts, Clarissa explains it all, and Doug, so Cartoon Network could claim the same success with the 20 somethings who want the 90s back. |

This is all well and good but...I don't know...I wish I could be a bit more enthusiastic about this but the fact of the matter is the industry has changed since Toonami was last on TV with digital distribution and DVD's widely available for all the mainstream anime it used to air. Also they are more worth watching on DVD, iTunes,etc. then the TV edits that they could air. So in closing, it's more of a nostalgic novelty then the cutting edge program block that it used to be and they are going to have to do something drastic to get me to watch it. This is exciting new I figured Adult swim was the perfect candidate to pick it up and I felt they really would listen to the fans since they seem so niche already. Hopefully they play some great classics, I'd love to watch DBZ through toonami again.

well this is a bit more exciting. I saw the list of shows they are playing tonight with only 2 of the shows being "new." What I was more upset about with this return is that they are not playing much of the old stuff that made Toonami great. I'm all for new shows but man no gundam, trigun, dbz at launch? srsly? |

well you have to understand it was their first time being on and it takes money to have shows on there which they had no revenue so the only way we will get to see the old shows is if we support the new ones which Deadman Wonderland is brand spankin' new to us in america because Toonami gets the first English run of it. And you may ask why don't they just have all old shows....Nostalgia only goes so far..it would last a couple weeks then people would stop watching and when people stop watching it will get its plug pulled. |

yup The only time it was on toonami was on april 1st this year. also Steve made a video before toonami went on the air and said to tweet to adult swim to tell them what you love and want to see on toonami because We have the power to change the lineup hell Steve wasn't even paid for last saturday he did it for the love he has for Toonami
