My computer is awesome (internally. The exterior sucks ass). I'm gonna get a new case when I get the $$$, but the insides are all new, as of a week or so ago, when I put this bad boy together

Specs:

Intel Core i5 2400 3.1GHz 3.4GHz boost clock
8GB Corsair Ram
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB (the 2 fan version, not the single fan version, there is a difference)
and tying it all together is a Gigabyte Ga-H77-DS3H motherboard

I know its not the best computer out there, but for me, its boss, This is my first up-to-date computer since my old ass Pentium 4 computer, which is really slow nowdays.

Just built a new machine on Saturday.

Posted Image

The very latest CPU: Cat Processing Unit.

Some i5 badboy, 3rd gen 23nm gangsta running at 3.4GHZ.
16GB DDR3
1 x 60GB SSD for botting windows
1 x 120GB SSD for VMware
No gfx card, running off onboard DVI
19" LED Monitor

This makes me happy, built just for studying.

I have a capture PC as well, bit lower spec.

AMD Phenom x4 running at 3.2GHZ
8GB DDR2
2 x 640GB HDD's running in RAID 1.
Black Magic Intensity Pro Capture Card

Both running off my 100MB cable line. I love it with mouth. :D

Awesome. Thinking about building a small Linux box. I hate dual booting and I'm getting tired of using Virtual Box. I want a dedicated Linux box. Could just go all out Linux, but then I'd miss out on Windows-exclusive software that I need to use.

Have fun.

In the center on the coffee table, that's my 2007 Macbook with a Gelaskin. It's not really impressive by today's standards, but it does iMovie very well...and that's what matters most to me.

Nice set up Jesus. Have you ever thought about getting a gaming rig to play more modern pc games, or do you just prefer the older stuff?

I really can't afford two high end PCs...so video editing takes precedence, since I use it every week for that. I realize I could do video editing on a Windows machine, but after working in a pro recording studio, I really prefer OSX for that.

I'm going to look into VMWare Fusion and Bootcamp emulation for Windows once I upgrade my Mac.

When I do video editing, i use Sony Vegas on PC, and Bootcamp is a better option, it's not really emulation, its closer to dual booting.

I actually learned video editing with Vegas years ago. Loved that program for the time...and I hear it only has gotten more powerful.

Here is my PC gaming setup w. portable gaming props.

Phenom X6 1075T, 8GB ram. 4 500GB RE4 HD's running in Raid10. 1 TB backup drive on the 2nd shelf under the main pc. Only 1 GTX 260 216 in the rig right now since the other one is glitching out bad I had to go to a no SLI setup and been too lazy to send it in for warranty. Watercooled goodness to round it off.

I use Sony Vegas 11. I am still a complete noob at it since I work too much to be involved with my channel lately but it seems to be the best program I've used so far.

Really want to get the new Final Cut for my iMac 21" but I'm too cheap when it comes to software.

If you thought my other computer was badass, you should check this out. I'm telling you right now, none of your new computers can stand up to this beast

first of all we have a Pentium 200 with MMX technology
then we have 64MB of ram in 4 SIMMs, how badass is that?
also, we have a video card, an S3 ViRGE with 2mb of vram
then I have a sound blaster 16, and some generic ESS allegro sound card
on top of that we have a 250W power supply
and last but not least, 1 3gb Maxtor HDD oh yeah

then I got 2 cd-roms and 2 floppy drives

Do a pic with the 486dx you just got. That would be sweet.

uh oh, here we go!

What we have here is the latest computer I've aquired. It was a 486sx @33mhz, but I fried the flying fuck out of the old cpu, so I upgraded it to a 486dx @33mhz (sx has no FPU, dx does)

it has 20mb of SIMM RAM
it has a whopping 1.2gb hard drive
it has a VESA SVGA graphics card
it has a sound blaster 16
and it has a multi I/O card, which includes serial ports, a printer port, a header for a joystick port, a FDD controller, and a IDE interface (which is sucking ass right now as you'll see in the pictures)

Made by AT&T (I added the sb16)

And btw, the file attachment limit of 200kb sucks ass :) I'd say make it 1mb please, its hard to post pictures under 200kb, I have to do it through twitter and spam my followers.

Posted Image
Its made from AT&T, the worst cell phone service provider :D

Posted Image
As you can see here, it fails at reading my hdd, I'm currently working on how to fix it.

Posted Image
and its innards. as you can see, there is nothing but the keyboard port integrated on the motherboard, the card to the very right is the multi i/o card.

I finally got that computer working too, without any sector errors or anything. The BIOS has a 504mb hard drive limit, so I partitioned that drive into one 500mb partition. I know, its a waste of 700mb, but I wasn't using that drive for anything anyway. I"ll probably get a smaller hard drive some time.

Gamer. Graphic Designer. Geek.

Mine's a boring quad core in a standard boring Dell case and I upgraded the Graphics Card but it plays everything very well. Pretty good considering it's about 3 years old and I have less than $1000 invested. It's boring so here's my Office/Library/College Classroom that the computer is located in.
