Wheeeeu playoffs start tonight! Who's ready!? Alot of good series this year NSH vs DET, PIT vs PHI, ... Here's my first round predictions WEST VAN vs LA - Ethier team in 6 or 7 (Hopefully Kings) Goaltending is gonna be key in this series, hopefully Quick can pull through because I really want the Nucks to lose. STL vs SJ - STL in 5 or 6 St. Louis goaltending has been dominant this year add that to San Jose's playoff record I think the Blues got this. PHX vs CHI - CHI in 6 Hard to say either way in this series, Phoenix has been great this season but can Mike Smith perform in the playoffs. Chicago has proven they can do it but factor in weak goaltending and the absence of Toews it's a toughie. Still think Chicagos stars can pull through though. NSH vs DET - Either in 6 or 7 This is gonna be a great series two highly skilled teams that should be meeting in the final. DET has all the tools and the experience but can they keep it going with their age? NSH is easily one of the best teams in the league top 5 goalie, arguably best defensive pair in the league and some great forwards. This series is gonna come down to final period, final minutes, final games. Hate to see one of these two to go in the first. EAST NYR vs OTT - NYR in 5 or 6 Rangers have been arguably the best team in the league this year, and have depth all down the lineup plus King Henrik. Ottawa is gonna need to be good if they wanna win, especially their goaltending which is completely unproven in the playoffs. Should be a good series though. BOS vs WSH - BOS in 6 The defending champs have a tough team to play in the first round but I think they can pull through. Washington has had a pretty disappointing year but I wouldn't count them out yet. FLA vs NJ - NJ in 5 Two surprising teams to see in the playoffs. Definatly been a surprise year in Florida they might be able to pull off an upset here but they need to be able to shut down the Devils offense otherwise they're toast. PIT vs PHI - PHI in 7 This is the best series in the playoffs hands down, I suggest you stop what you're doing jut to watch this. This series is gonna come down to endurance these teams are going to being playing some highly physical and fast paced hockey. And when it comes to physicality the Flyers are one e best. Don't count out Pittsburgh though with and all star lineup like theirs and the two best forwards in the world on your team that is always dangerous. I don't really like hockey but I pay attention. The only thing I'd disagree with you on is that my Caps probably won't make it to 6 games against the Bruins. |
