Mine has got to be Ghouls 'N Ghosts on the nes and Super Ghouls N Goblins on the snes. These games are unbelievably hard.. i cant even make it past the first stage!!!!! |

Labyrinth,definitely. It's based off of the movie so you have 13 hours on your little clock to get to the center to rescue Toby. Everytime you get hit it takes time off of your clock. It is such a hard game to me and very confusing. One day I'll beat it though. Labyrinth is my favorite movie,so I've gotta beat the game. |

For me, either Street Fighter 2010, or Silver Surfer, both for the NES. SF2010 I got when it came out, and to this day I have never gotten off the first stage.(It is a small stage with only 1 real enemy.) |

Rick Dangerous on Amiga or the megadrive version of Shadow of the Beast. Martian Gothic on PS1 is pretty damn hard too, the lack of ammo combined with the fact the enemies eventually get back up makes it a real tough cookie. |

when i was a kid i used to think kid super mario rpg was really hard. i have to point out though that as a child my time consisted of school in the am hours and playing soccer the rest of the day. |

I remember struggling with games like Ninja Gaiden. But after some trial and error and item hoarding, easy!

My favorite movie too. Hardest game, I'll go with Ninja Gaiden. That game made me so angry, I never beat it. |

I Wanna Be The Guy. well... It's not really fair though... Super Meat Boy is difficult but not the hardest.... I'd say Catherine was the hardest in recent memory. Even on EASY it's ridiculous after a while. It might just be because I'm a bit slow when it comes to thinking on my feet, but I think Catherine is genuinely hard. A lot of the classic games become easy after you know the tricks. Catherine stays hard. |

In recent memory... Castlevania 3 always makes me mad. Also, REmake is difficult for me as I seem to have some sort of mental block when it comes to that game... |

yeah.. ghosts and goblins on the nes (or in the arcade) is quite hard... the super nes one is easier than those though it is still a challenge. I have not played it, but honestly... I watched quite a few videos on the game and it seems to be the hardest I've seen in a good while and that's battle kid. mario 2 for the famicom (the original lost levels) is pretty tough for a mario game... it is harder than our lost levels too. I find galaga to be challenging, the one pea shooter bullet on screen at a time thing is tough in my opinion... but for some reason my girlfriend is quite good at it. She always gets the second ship no problem and it seems to get easier from there. |
