Ever since I've seen your latest episode, I've been romanticized about the idea of ditching school and playing video games. And I'm not the only one. I went to search on YouTube and there are hundreds of people who do that because school sucks. I'm no longer in school but I hate my job and want to quit to pursue my love of playing and making video games. I am going to eventually do it but I feel like doing it now and tell my boss "I'm quitting this awful job to pursue my passions". I really hate my job. Anyways, any has ever skipped school to play video games or whatever. Did you like it? Did you play video games all day? I'm just curious all of a sudden and am interested in hearing more stories of ditching and skipping classes. In fact, I'm currently learning how to make games for the XBox Indie market. I might just make a stealth game about ditching school. Ha ha ha.

I don't do it anymore, even though I want to sooooooo much! With that said, I had an experience when I was in 7th grade, and SMB Wii came out. I was so excited, I had just gotten it for my birthday. I got it on a Friday, and played it all weekend, and I wanted to beat the game. I turned it on Monday morning, staying home from school, played for about two minutes to grab a snack. I come back, my cat pushed my Wii off of the table, and breaks it. One of the most ironic moments in my gaming career.

This was in the days of the SNES and skipping was a lot easier. Nowadays, they have computers and programs to track your attendance (listen to the new Rad Rascals episode - we discuss that very topic). Being older, I can book the day off if there is a big game release I want to partake in. I fully intend to do that for Borderlands 2 when it comes out in September. I have planned to attend a midnight launch (if indeed there is one) and then book the following three days off. I want to immerse myself in the co-op and have a blast. It's vacation time, so I'll get paid for it

Just don't start skipping school regularly as people can get in the habit of that once they feel that they can get away with it. I used to play the "i feel like i'm going to be sick" card to my parents when I had a new game i wanted to play.
