So I just discovered an awesome video on Shaurz' channel on YouTube (You may know him ;) ) on a little black box from Japan known as the Micomsoft Framemeister.
To the best of my knowledge this little thing is actually an analogue video upscaler for HDTV's that outputs it's video through HDMI and oh boy.....this thing looks to be nothing short of incredible....here's a video (said video being the one I mentioned)

aaaand a picture of the unit itself ;)

now is it just me? or is this thing absolutely incredible the only problem I can see, is the sheer price of the unit....currently going for about $460.00 US on eBay so it's a very pricy little thing but if you watch the video you'll see the sheer quality that it produces playing your old-school systems through an HDTV, so this could be the possible solution to your "should I buy a CRT TV" problem, like I am currently experiencing.

SO I didn't see anything on the forum about this already, and I just thought I'd throw it out there for everyone to have a look. Cheers guys :)

Dan.
