So I thought I'd throw an NFL thread up here if I can manage to get some football talk on my go to gaming forum I think I'll be in heaven lol. No real purpose other than I'm an NFL junkie and with the draft about a week away I'm starting to get pumped up for the upcoming season. I guess I'll just get things going by asking; Who is your favorite team and player (past or present) and if you want to take it a step further is there a player in the draft that you would like to see your team pick up? So a little about me to get the party started: Detroit Lions are my team (grew up with them for better or worse, but thank god things are starting to look up), Favorite Players (Ill do an active and retired) will be no surprise at all lol Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson. And to answer my last question specifically I don't really care but I'd love to see them pick up someone for the O-line or the Secondary. |

Can't wait for the draft only eight days to sitting on the coach watching football for three days straight. As for my favorite team it is the Buffalo Bills for better or worse. My favorite players are Bruce Smith(inactive) and Stevie Johnson (active). I hope that the Bills will draft Justin Blackmon but i don't think that he will last until pick 10 and i don't see the bills trading up, so I hope they draft Michael Floyd. |

Titans fan here. Favorite player ever has to be Peyton Manning (I am a huge Vols fan). I hope Melvin Ingram is still there at #20 for us to get, wouldn't bet on him being there though. |

Did you guys see EPSN's list of toughest schedules? It's kinda funny that the Giants have the toughest while the Patriots have the easiest. But I'm really excited for the season as now both my teams have Mannings. |

First off I'm pretty excited to see that people are hitting this tread. Also nice to see another Lions fan in the room. As for the madden cover Calvin is winnning cause he's a fuckin boss..lol buttttt... I agree the last thing on earth The Lions need is an injured CJ so go vote for Cam. I would also love Melvin Ingram but at 23 there is no way in hell we get him. I must admit it feels good to be picking this late cause of course it means we didnt shit the bed last year. Lastly according to ESPN the lions got a pretty bum schedule also, but in my opinion teams can change so much from year to year in the NFL it's hard to really buy into all that. |

Hey guys, Marmul here So I will be chiming in as the San Francisco 49er guy, (and I'll be in the bay area just as season starts to kick off  Stroke of luck I'm telling ya) My favourite player of all time has to be either Joe Montana or Steve Young. (kinda the reason why I follow the niners). Players that are still active... Patrick Willis, Eli Manning, Robert Griffin III (watched him play at baylor while I did security) Who do I think the niners will pick up in the draft? Err our team is pretty set to be honest in my opinion. Great run game, stacked receiver corp, returning QB (yeah hes not the best but meh) stonch run D so I guess maybe a safety? Or some O-linemen? However I do have to say that the niners have ALOT of pressure on them this year. |

I think you could use a new backup for Ted Gin...lol just kidding around. I honestly love San Fransisco I would say they are my second favorite team (if a gun was put to my head to pick a team other than the lions lol) Frank Gore is a machine and having played defense in highschool I've always loved a good d-line which you guys definitely have. Yeah, I don't know why Peyton didn't go to the 49ers, I really think they have as good of a shot as anyone for going undefeated. Since I am a Titans and Vols fan, I was definitely wanting him back in Tennessee. Congrats on getting him, Broncos went from my most hated team last year (hated Tebow in college) to my second favorite team this year. As for Madden cover, I saw y'all mention CJ. I feel stupid when I realized y'all was talking about Calvin Johnson, dude is a straight up monster. I thought y'all were talking about Chris Johnson, go ahead and vote for Chris Johnson though, he is the most overrated and laziest pass blocking RB in the NFL. |

Yeah i was worried when we didnt get manning and Alex Smith was being a whiny bitch. but im glad he is back, cause he can manege a game and isnt too bad. Now that he has some really good receivers, niners are going to have a decent pass game. |

Starts out a little (maybe alot lol) conceded but his offer at the end was pretty classy. Like I said though I hope he wins. Im not superstitious but even if there was a 1% chance CJ could get hurt I wouldn't want him on the cover lol. |
