I just recently got back from a flea market and I saw a guy with a bunch of games starting to leave.
He said he'd let me look through his boxes as he was packing. The first thing I saw was Knights of the old republic 2 for 5$
and decided to put it off to side (on amazon it goes for around 30$) I then saw eternal eyes for 1$ not a perfect game but i had some change in my pocketand set it to the side as well. I later seen Lost Oddesy for 12$ and set it to the side as well.

Here is where I went wrong. He had 3 Ps1 long box games Ps1 games are not my strong suit let alone the long boxes. He had Resident Evil, Panzer General, and Romance of the three Kingdom IV. The Resident evil was in good condition and was 15$ The Panzer General was in near Perfect for 20$ ( I talked him down to 17 on it) and Romance of the three kingdoms IV was in pretty bad shape for 15$ ( I talked him down to 10)

With the lot I talked him down 60$ bucks flat which I was proud of I cant wait to play theses game when I get home I though! (By the way let me know what you guys think of those games ^^) When I got home I did a little research and was disappointed by how cheap you can find those exact same long boxes for and I couldn't help but feel stupid that I had paid so much for them when I thought I had everything for a steal. Has this every happened to any of you? If so lets share some stories of it!

Oh how I love my smartphone ;)

I've saved myself multiple times from over spending on items.

I can't think of any recent events regarding video games, but I did get royally screwed over on a vinyl of Black Sabbaths' Master of Reality, only to get home and realize that I could've gotten it a lot cheaper on eBay

eBay has really good buyer protection. You should have talked to the seller to see if they would have given you a partial refund (if you wanted to keep it) or a full refund + return shipping. If they refused, you would have been able to file a claim with eBay to get all of your money back.

Either way, I would not have given the seller a positive feedback.

Plenty of times. I can't say how many times I've bought a newer gen title for what seemed like a good deal, only to find out that this 1-2month old game has already price dropped to $20 new. I actually don't really buy newer gen games now due to that reason alone. When it comes to retro stuff, I generally get great deals as everyone around here thinks they're worthless or close to it.
