Gamestop preorder policy?

I preordered it from a gamestop where my step dad lives in Honesdale, PA (he talked me into it). Since he is my step dad I see him every other weekend. I live with my dad full time in Montgomery, NY. My question is... since I preordered the game in Honesdale, PA, can I pick it up at a gamestop where I live in NY. I can't seem to find this answer online and this is kinda my first preorder on any game. Thanks!

Posts: 946 Group: Members Member #1,807 Joined: Mar 22, 2010	The only gamestop that you can pick up a pre-order is the one that you ordered it from, but what i would suggest is to call them a day or two before it comes out and have them hold it longer for you. But since it is only COD:BOII they should have plenty of copies as long as you are not getting any special edition.

However, as long as you have it pre-ordered, they must give you a copy...even if you come in 3 years later (not that you would), they have to track down a copy for you. If you absolutely cannot wait to get back to that store, you can go into the Gamestop closest to you, and speak with the manager on duty. They can call the store you originally placed it at, and get the pre-order transferred. (The employee from the original store may try to say that this can't be done because they don't want to lose their pre-order, but I assure you, it can be..I've done it multiple times).
