I was not happy the day after I completed me3 when it came out. Yesterday with the extended cut doc I can safely say so far bioware is back in my good graces. The endingsn almost give too much detail but there are now no obvious disconnects.

If you don't have the game now is the time to get it. If you do have it then a play through is completely justified to get the full experience. You can just see the endings by playing thenlast save though a few things added wont show but YouTube can fill that in if your strapped for time.

The Extended Cut added some nice scenes to be honest. However the whole Extended Cut was overhyped and I felt that the EC was not enough to warrant a full pardon.

This Extended Cut was the minimal amount of info they should have shared in the normal release.

There still are some plot holes before the beam etc. But It has given me some satisfaction although it's still a disappointing ending not that I really expected much from it since in my opinion the first ones ending was only good because it basically hyped you for the next one and the second games ending was borderline retarded and the third one.. yeah it ended but it wasn't awesome or anything. It was just an ending.

What I think shows my satisfaction to the ending is that I now dislike the people who insist that control or/and synthesis endings are better than destroy or/and whatever you call shooting that little cunt in the face than Bioware.

Also the slides they added seemed really out of place from the rest of the series. Too little too late.

I'm not touching it at the moment. I still think it's too early, and the hurt hasn't healed yet.

I used to buy Bioware games day one, regardless. THey shook my trust with DA2, and then absolutely destroyed it with the ending for ME3.

We'll see how they approach DLC, and DA3. But ever since the EA acquisition, they've been on a downwards slide.

These aren't the droids we're looking for.

I'm steering clear of Mass Effect 3 for the foreseeable future; the series had become something truly special to me, as I'm a huge sci-fi nut, and BioWare had (in my mind) created a truly believable future. After really thinking about it, though, I was dissatisfied with ME3 BEFORE I saw the ending. It was a stripped down and bare experience for me. I've realized that, from my perspective, the series peaked with it's first title. It wasn't just the story, it was the gameplay and the way you interact with NPCs. They ruined what was in my eyes a perfect system. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVED Mass Effect 2's story and setting, and Mass Effect 3 had some absolutely spectacular sequences.

The shitty ending was just a shitty cherry on the shitty top of a shitty ice cream. Why would I want a more fleshed out version of a shitty ending? I'll pass.

Well me3 as a whole, to me, was great. The ending rocked me because of the polarity shift from awesome to awkward chaffed my heart groin. Ec at least allows me to accept their version as gospel despite wanting indoctrine theory. Good but not great. Magic was in the journey not the epilogue and all that.

Didn't even bother downloading the extended ending - just watched them on YouTube. Was under whelmed.

Expanding the last cut scene does not fix the major problems with Mass Effect 3 such as the irrelevancy of your story choices and the stripped down mechanics.

The game is still a solid 7.

There wasn't just the last cut scene expanded. You have to restart the entire last 2 scenarios to get the full cut's complete offering (by save game or by starting the ng+ save at the assault on cerb. base).

I agree I don't really care for the overall direction of the ending. I would have much preferred Indoctrination theory. However, since they are refusing to give us that at least the shoddy ending actually makes sense now and opens up a sensible Mass Effect 4.
