Reviews With Passion, Remember Those? No?

For the longest time, I've felt as though video game reviews just haven't been given the time and dedication they deserve, for the most part anyway. It seems as though these days a review generally amounts to someone discussing how fun the gameplay is, while overlooking what mechanics actually make the gameplay fun, as well as other aspects of the game in general. So, in July I took it upon myself to throw my hat in the ring, so to speak. My video quality is subpar (though, I'm on the screen minimally) and the audio that goes with it is soft, but audible. However, I like to think I poured my passion and creativity into the two reviews I have up and will continue to do so with other games. With that having been said, I appreciate whatever support may come out of this and hope you have a great day.

So far, I've reviewed Portal/Portal 2 and Kessen II

And keep on gaming~

PS: I should note that if video reviews aren't your thing, I included a link to my wordpress blog in the description for each video which holds the text reviews as well. Take care~

I don't think the value of game reviews are waning, I just think it's being oversaturated. Just gotta find the right one for you that's all.

The one's I recommend are Classic Game Room, Chipsturs, Happy Console Gamer, Gamester81, The Last Gamer, Clan of the Grey Wolf, The Turbo Show, and ocassinally Silent Rob. There are plenty of other non-review video game shows out there, it's all a matter of looking and trying to find the one that's right for you.

Everyone's heard of them. I was more-so referring to how journos are eating up the popularity over actual reviewers. Well, that and people that do review games but either only offer 2-3 minutes per video, or spend ten minutes rambling yet never truly discuss the elements that make up the game. Experiences with the game are fun, but they're really only ever fun for the person reviewing the game. People watch reviews to judge whether or not they should buy it. Well, that's how it should be, anyway.
