Special Episode 3: Favourite Film FapFast; Ben and Andy share their top movies with y'all

For the third Special episode, Andy and Ben decide to return to lighter territory with a topic that is near and dear to us: movies. We each pick our "Top 5" all-time favourite movies and discuss them in-depth, with the usual side helping of tangents thrown in for good measure. We hope you like our selections, and please let us know if you decide to watch any of them, and what you thoughts are. Also, we welcome everyone to share some of their favourite movies as well. Maybe we'll all discover some new gems :)

Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6SyNxBIbzk&feature=g-u-u

The MP3 and iTunes links are in the video description, however the iTunes one might take a little longer because it's on a timer.

Our final Special will be released next week, and then we're back to normality with a new episode on September 2. It's amazing how time has flown by.

I really enjoyed the movie talk, especially from so many films I didn't grow up with or am familiar with. This episode was a really nice change of subject matter from the more saddening stories of the previous episode. I look forward to seeing what the last Special episode has in store for us, for sure!

I don't like the sound of that.

Out of interest, how many of you went out and watched 'Dear Zachary' after this episode?

If you haven't, please do so. It's the right thing to do.

Honestly, I haven't. I really don't know how I can/where I can find it. I guess there was a TV premiere of it here, but that's about it.

That was definitely a roller coaster ride of emotion. I guess the best way I can sum it up is that the film is upsetting, yet beautiful. Thank you for recommending and linking it up. I truly appreciate it, Andy.

12 Angry Men was actually really good, but man the 1997 version is hard to watch. Its almost the same film just with different actors playing the characters, it makes it feel very shallow and pointless at the end of the day.

I watched dear zachary too and i have to say it was a very interesting watch, it was so sad at times.

I think some of my fav films may be, in no particular order...

Smokey and the Bandit
Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Streetfighter II: The Animated Movie
Beetlejuice
Caddyshack
Stand By Me
The Machinist
Chasing Ghosts (Videogame Documentary)

The Short Circuit games were up there for me too when i was a kid, the first one is a better movie but i have more attachment to the second one. Just after he tries to fix himself up, covers himself in chains etc and goes after Benjamin...what a scene!

I just now got around to listening to this episode, and must say I was very excited when I saw the topic was film, as I am a big movie junkie myself. After listening, I must now go watch 'Capturing the Freidmans' and 'Dear Zachary' as I also love documentaries.

We had to read the screen play for '12 Angry Men' in high school, and ended up watching the film, as well. I thoroughly enjoyed in then, but haven't seen it since.

I don't think I can stomach one more Jackie Chan movie, though, because my fiancée keeps them on almost constant loop around here...

As for a few of my personal favorites, in no particular order;

American Psycho
Clockwork Orange
American Beauty
Lars and the Real Girl
Who the Fuck is Jackson Pollock
My Kid Could Paint That
Bang Bang You're Dead
Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind
Dead Alive
Empire Records
Girl, Interrupted
Fido
Evil Dead 2
Memento
Sin City
Return To Oz

And I could keep going, but yeah...those are just a few from the top of the list. :)

Some of my favorite movies range from mindless hilarity like The Jackass Movies, Comedies like Ace Ventura Pet Detective, American Pie 2. Cheesy movies like Tenacious D Pick of Destiny, and More serious movies like Four Brothers and Gran Torino. But my all time favorite is Space Jam

I finished watching 12 Angry Men this week, based on your recommendation...and I have to say: The movie was INCREDIBLE. Wow.

For a movie that takes place in one room, it was riveting and so well made. There are so many lessons to be learned from that movie if you are an amateur film maker and screen writer.

Thanks for the suggestion!
